Löfstad Castle Seeks Museum Guides!

Welcome to Östergötland's Museum - a vibrant gathering place where we create knowledge experiences that surprise and delight. Löfstad Castle is part of Östergötland's Museum and is a national and international destination located in the countryside outside Norrköping. The castle, dating back to the 1600s, has been preserved exactly as it was left by its last private owner, Miss Emilie Piper (1857–1926). The castle is open to visitors for most of the year. The property is owned by Riddarhuset and museum operations are run by Östergötland's Museum. The grounds also include an inn and market garden. Our peak season is summer, when we are open daily from mid-June through the end of August. During spring and fall, the castle is open on weekends and public holidays. In addition to guided tours, we arrange numerous large and small programs throughout the year. Our Christmas market and Midsummer celebration are popular annual events. We are now seeking several guides to complement our team for the fall! Job Responsibilities As a guide at Löfstad Castle, you are our public face with our visitors. Your primary task is to ensure our visitors enjoy their time with us and want to return! You will conduct historical tours of the castle on various themes in both Swedish and English for children and adults. During summer, a dramatized tour is part of the daily program. You therefore need to be comfortable performing in character. In addition to guiding, you will staff our castle shop and help clean public areas.
