At the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket), we work with one of our time's major societal issues – migration. We are approximately 6,000 employees here, and we have an unusually important mission!
We are now seeking fire safety experts in several areas who can support both projects and management for our local services units at the Migration Agency.
Together with your colleagues, you contribute to supporting the local services section's staff by creating the best possible conditions for our operations within detention, housing, and administrative facilities.
What Does a Fire Safety Expert Do
You engage in dialogue with experts, requirement owners, stakeholders, as well as operational staff and individuals with varying levels of knowledge. This means you need to be able to adapt your communication and interpret complex regulatory requirements and expert opinions for people with different areas of expertise.
You are stepping into an organization in transition with the need to adapt to new requirements and needs.
The role involves driving fire protection matters in collaboration with other requirement-setting functions, such as Security and Accessibility, and managing these needs/requirements in the project and construction process.
You shall support operations and management in assessing the need for measures and formulating these measures for procurements, internal initiatives, or commissioning of external consulting projects.
You work in an operations-driven facility environment with varied properties where you combine on-site inspections with analysis, structure, action, and documentation.
The focus is on creating safe, secure, and functionally adapted facilities for operations.
You will become an important fire safety expert on matters concerning buildings' fire safety conditions, deviations from regulations, and documentation that needs to be both accurate and practically usable.
You will work in a group/unit together with a senior fire engineer and, provided that planned decisions are made, experts in safety and security.
Who Are You?
As a person, you are confident and have the ability to meet people in different situations in a professional and respectful manner. You have integrity and make decisions based on legislation and facts, while also being receptive and able to adapt your approach. You work independently on your matters and have an analytical approach where you are prepared to reconsider previous positions when new circumstances arise.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
