We are now recruiting casual staff who want to help shape our operations together with us. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a safe, developmental, and professional environment – both for the children and young people we work with and for your colleagues.
We are recruiting casual staff for two units: Ånestadsgatan 156 in Smedby, an established facility, and Vägstumpen 1 in Svärtinge, a new unit starting in autumn 2026. Ideally, you will work at both units or one of them, where you will become an important part of creating a strong team.
Our operations have seven residential places in total. The children and young people living in our facilities have various disabilities, different backgrounds, and individual needs. The operation has a high staff-to-resident ratio and we have 24-hour staffing with both awake night shift and sleeping on-call duty.
With us, the children and young people are always at the center, where we work purposefully to promote their independence and create a safe and adapted living environment based on their individual needs and circumstances.
Your responsibilities
Work in the operation is based on each individual's implementation plan. Our goal is to work toward ensuring that each individual becomes as independent and secure as possible to develop according to their abilities. You provide individualized support and maintain a professional approach.
Together with the rest of the staff team, consisting of support assistants and support educators, you form a team around the individuals living here. As an employee with us, you have an important role in creating security and quality of life for our residents in their home. We also have a healthcare team attached to the operations consisting of a nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist.
You are part of the close client-facing work, which means following our children and young people in their daily lives. The work involves everything that occurs in a home environment where the individual's needs guide the tasks. The work includes contact with many actors both internally and externally, which is important for maintaining comprehensive work around each individual since the children and young people live permanently with us.

We are looking for someone with the right education, experience, and personal qualities to work closely with our children and young people within LSS. Here's what we value:
Requirements
- Upper secondary school diploma in care and nursing or children and leisure programs with a social focus, or other education that the employer deems equivalent (e.g., behavioral science or treatment pedagogy)
- Experience and knowledge of working with people displaying challenging behavior, such as physical and verbal aggressive behavior and self-injurious behavior
- Experience with structured teaching methods, low-arousal approaches, and neuropsychiatry
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good computer skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of socially disruptive behavior (occurs within our target groups)
- Previous experience working with children and young people within LSS
- Experience with special diagnoses such as PWS and work within NPF
- Knowledge of trauma and crisis management
- Sign language, signs as support (TAKK), and/or experience with other forms of AAC
- Category B driving license
You have a high level of organization and a holistic perspective while maintaining a well-grounded approach to user and family-related matters within the LSS target group. It is important that you can collaborate and work according to decisions made in the operation. We consider it important that you take initiative and strive to create good relationships and achieve results.
Being a good role model for our children and young people and your colleagues is self-evident to you. You are attentive and adapt your communication to those you meet. This also means you have high self-awareness where you are conscious of your feelings and actions and how they affect your work situations.
Close client work requires that you have a high degree of independence. You see what needs to be done and take initiative in your daily work, which includes being able to implement and develop new ideas and methods. You are flexible and can change your approach and adapt when the situation requires it. You find it easy to prioritize and find solutions in different situations. You are experienced in working with risk assessments and can see both the big picture and details.
As a person, you are calm and confident with a positive attitude and commitment to the target group. You see opportunities from a professional perspective and want to contribute to developing the operation based on the goals that exist.
