Curator

Lerum Municipality is known for its naturally beautiful locations with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects significant growth in the coming years. Lerum is only 20 minutes away from Gothenburg and is currently facing an intensive development period with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality works to ensure good service, high welfare, and a thriving business climate. Dagens Samhälle named Lerum the winner in the major city municipality category (2025) - an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as schools, healthcare and social services, finance, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business, and future factors such as digitalization and civil preparedness. Lerum is indeed a Super Municipality! In Lerum, our ambition is to be at the forefront, where we together create the best possible conditions for residents. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Lerum an even better place to live and work. Through collaboration, courage, and attentive service, we want to contribute to Lerum's residents being able to live independent lives and have the opportunity to build their futures. Together with other actors, we work toward a sustainable society with a strong focus on early and preventive work. The Adult Unit is in a development phase due to the implementation of the new comorbidity reform. We work with both authority exercises and service provision, meeting adults with support needs related to harmful use and addiction, comorbidity, family members, and intimate partner violence. The workplace is located at Hedlundsbacke and is in close proximity to public transportation. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a curator at the Social Medical Clinic, you work with people who need support due to harmful use and addiction as well as their family members. Since we are in a transition phase, the position will also include support and motivational conversations with perpetrators and victims of violence. Work is conducted based on evidence-based and structured methods, where interventions are tailored to the individual's needs, circumstances, and goals. Client contacts occur individually while family members are offered both individual support and the opportunity to participate in a family support group. A central part of the work is to map needs, motivate change, provide psychosocial support, and strengthen the individual's own resources. The work may include motivational work, change conversations, relapse prevention, support, and guidance regarding continued treatment and other support services. The work is characterized by close interdisciplinary collaboration where we together plan and follow up on interventions based on the client's overall needs. Collaboration also takes place with social services and healthcare when needed. Matters are brought to the clinic both through social services, for example through assistance decisions, and by the individual themselves seeking support based on IUB (services without individual needs assessment) to the clinic. This means that the work includes both authority-initiated interventions and more accessible, voluntary support services. The work thus involves a combination of treatment-oriented, supportive, motivational, and coordinating interventions, with the individual's needs and circumstances at the center. QUALIFICATIONS We see that you as an applicant have a degree as a Social Worker or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Previous experience with the target group is meritorious, as is working with the evidence-based methods in the National Guidelines. Personal qualities we are looking for are that you are attentive, have the ability to work solution-focused, and that you enjoy working both independently and with others. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A Class B driver's license is required as the position involves travel during work. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: October 1, 2026. Working hours: Daytime. Development in Lerum Municipality shall be sustainable and our management is based on the global goals in Agenda 2030. We believe that our differences enrich and develop the individual, operations, and society positively. As an employer, Lerum Municipality actively works for equality and diversity and against all forms of discrimination and harassment.
