About Carria Carria is an IVO-licensed secure housing facility that offers safe and individually tailored services for adults, children, and families with protection needs. Our work is built on high quality, professional and knowledge-based approaches, as well as a strong focus on safety, security, and the individual's needs. Carria is in a growth and development phase. Therefore, we are now seeking 1–2 protection assistants for hourly positions as needed who want to contribute to our daily work and continued journey. This is a role for someone who already has experience working with people with protection needs and feels comfortable in this type of environment. About the Role As a protection assistant, you are an important part of the daily work at Carria. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to a safe, stable, and secure everyday life for our clients. The role is varied, and work tasks are based on the facility's and clients' current needs. This may include being available to clients, providing practical and social support, contributing to structure in daily life, following security procedures, observing changes, and passing relevant information on to responsible colleagues. Documentation and other practical tasks are also included as needed to ensure daily operations and the facility function smoothly. You will not have individual client responsibility, but will work as part of the team according to the facility's routines, planning, and your area of responsibility. On-call duty is part of the role according to a fixed schedule. For us, it's important that you see what needs to be done, take responsibility, and know when something needs to be escalated. We Are Looking for You If The role requires higher education of at least 180 credits, such as a degree in social work, behavioral science, or other relevant education that the employer deems equivalent. You also need prior experience working with people in vulnerable life situations. We are not looking for someone who wants to try this field for the first time. Experience from, for example, secure housing, intimate partner violence, honor-based violence and oppression, social services, HVB (youth homes), supported housing, women's shelters, or other organizations with a protection and security focus is particularly relevant. You have a good understanding of what it means to meet people who may be in crisis, distress, or under threat, and you understand the importance of security, confidentiality, integrity, and a professional approach. You have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and a valid B-class driver's license is required. It Is an Advantage If You Have Experience With Secure housing and security work. Intimate partner violence, as well as honor-based violence and oppression. Social services work and official duties. HVB or supported housing. Crisis and trauma work. Children and families in vulnerable life situations. Risk assessment and security planning. Coordination with social services, police, schools, healthcare, or other community organizations. Social documentation and implementation plans. Multilingualism, in addition to Swedish and English. Knowledge of or experience with tools such as FREDA, PATRIARK, SARA, SAM, BRA, TMO, or MI. Who Are You? We believe you are secure, calm, and responsible. Working Hours We are seeking 1–2 protection assistants for hourly positions as needed. Working hours are irregular and vary based on the facility's needs. Work shifts may occur on different days and times, and hours may vary over time. On-call duty is part of the role according to a fixed schedule.
