Adapted primary school in Lerum consists of three units: Knappekullaskolan (grades 1–5) Centralskolan (grades 1–5) Rydsbergsskolan (grades 6–9) Each unit is well integrated into its school and the adapted primary school is visible and participatory in the schools' development work. The operation has a well-developed systematic quality process with scientific foundation, where teaching is developed through collegial practice and elements of action research. Our prioritized goals are accessible education and a scientific approach. We are facing an exciting development phase as a new F–9 school is being built with planned occupancy in fall 2027. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking an engaged special education teacher for our adapted primary school at Knappekullaskolan. As a special education teacher, you have a key role in developing and assuring the quality of pedagogical activities in the adapted primary school. You work both strategically and operatively with a focus on developing accessible learning environments at the organizational, group, and individual levels. Your responsibilities: Lead and structure collegial learning and pedagogical development work Participate in the student welfare team and contribute to health promotion and preventive work Guide and support staff and students Play a central role in welcoming new students and collaboration with guardians Collaborate with external stakeholders such as Habilitation, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and social services Who are you? You are confident in your pedagogical leadership and have strong communication skills. You are flexible, solution-focused, and have a talent for creating trusting relationships with students, colleagues, guardians, and external partners. QUALIFICATIONS You are a certified primary school teacher with a special education degree or special education teacher certification in intellectual disability and have experience working as a special education teacher. Experience from adapted primary school is a plus. You have good understanding and knowledge of the target group's needs as well as knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and low-arousal approaches.
