We are now recruiting 1–2 support assistants for Ekollonvägen's day activity program in Lerum. We work based on a salutogenic approach where we focus on the individual's resources, opportunities, and what creates health, joy, and meaning. Participation and self-determination are a given in our daily work. Ekollonvägen is one of Lerum Municipality's five day activity programs. Approximately 35 participants have their daily activities here. The program is divided into three groups. We are a dedicated team of 13 support assistants and 3 support educators. Together with the participants, we plan and develop the program's content. Our activities include music, creative work, technology and learning, walks, exercise, yoga, relaxation, and sensory stimulation. We also have our valued sensory garden Upptäckten, which we develop and maintain together with the participants. Start date September 15 or by agreement. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a support assistant, you are an important part of the participants' daily life. You work to create conditions for participation, self-determination, development, and a meaningful day. Your duties include: • Planning and implementing activities together with the participants • Providing individually adapted physical and communicative support • Actively working with participants' self-determination and participation • Using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), such as sign language support, visual supports, and visual schedules according to individual needs • Care assistance when needed • Being a support person and establishing and following up implementation plans • Documenting in our activity system • Collaborating with colleagues, residents, guardians, and other partners • Contributing to the program's development and a good work environment • You need to be able to work both independently and together with others. The work requires flexibility and the ability to adapt your approach based on participants' individual needs and circumstances. QUALIFICATIONS The role requires: • Education as a support assistant, nursing assistant, childcare worker, or other relevant pedagogical education • Good knowledge of applicable legislation and guidelines • At least two years of documented experience working in disability services • Experience working with people on the autism spectrum and with intellectual variations • Experience with low-arousal approaches • Good experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), such as sign language support, visual supports, and visual schedules • Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written • Good computer skills as documentation and administrative tasks are part of the role Desirable qualifications: • Experience with welfare technology in the disability field • Category B driver's license Employment type: Permanent position.
