Lerum is truly a Super Municipality! * We are looking for temporary staff for Lerum Municipality's preschools ahead of the fall term 2026. If you're interested in starting work before summer, there is also an opportunity for that. As temporary staff, you will be employed through Lerum Municipality's Staffing Unit. Assignments apply when regular staff are absent, which can be both short-notice fill-ins and longer-term positions. How it works: You will be intermittently employed (temporary staff) and receive ongoing requests for work shifts – sometimes with same-day notice, sometimes with longer advance notice. You indicate your availability for work in our digital booking system, where you can also express interest in specific work shifts. As temporary staff, work assignments can vary from day to day, and you may work at different preschools throughout the municipality. Working hours are daytime on weekdays. 30 position(s). WORK TASKS You are a trusted and positive role model for our children and support them in their play, learning, and social development. You help create calm and clarity in everyday routines. By being actively present, you guide and encourage children in their activities, participate in play, and contribute to a safe, stimulating, and structured environment. The work is varied and involves significant responsibility and independence. Examples of work tasks: • Participate in and lead activities and games, both indoors and outdoors • Support children in their language development, motor skills, and social interaction • Help with routine situations such as meals, dressing/undressing, and rest time • Be a present adult who creates security throughout the day • Follow the day's planning set up by regular staff and contribute to smooth operations • When needed, provide extra support to individual children or small groups QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We are looking for someone who finds it easy to make connections in social settings and can quickly build secure relationships with children. You take responsibility, show initiative, and feel confident working independently. You have good ability to structure your work and drive it forward, while being responsive, attentive, and enjoying collaboration within the team. You need to be able to quickly adapt to new groups of children, work methods, and daily routines, and independently handle situations that arise during the preschool day. Education and experience If you have training as a childcare worker, that is a merit, but we also welcome applicants without formal qualifications. Experience from work in preschools, childcare, service roles, or other positions where you support or help people is considered a merit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
