As a testing engineer, you inspect objects and pressurized equipment at customer sites using methods such as X-ray and ultrasound. Örebro University is seeking a PhD student for doctoral-level education leading to a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Medical Science at the Department of Health Sciences, with program start in Fall 2026. Project Description DISASTER-CARE is Sweden's first national research school in disaster medicine – an area of growing importance in today's society, characterized by global crises and a changed international security situation. The initiative is financed by the Swedish Research Council. The research school is coordinated by the University of Gothenburg and conducted in close collaboration between several of Sweden's leading institutions in disaster medicine. It is aimed at you who, after completing your education, will work as a teacher in health and medical education with a focus on disaster medicine and crisis preparedness. The role as an employment consultant involves supporting individuals one-on-one or in groups and facilitating and shortening the path to new work or studies. You will conduct resource assessments, support the creation of application materials, arrange work trial positions, and guide and motivate groups through lectures both in-person and online. You have a strong ability to independently plan, administer, and follow up on your work and always deliver with quality. Requirements Profile Alternative 1 • Education: Higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to previous system). • Work experience: At least two (2) years of full-time work experience. Part-time can also be accepted if the total hours equal full-time work over two (2) years.
