Are you an experienced accounting economist who wants to work comprehensively across all areas of accounting in a smaller finance team? We are now seeking, for a consulting assignment, a reliable and dedicated accounting economist who wants to take a central role in an operation where quality, structure, and proactivity are highly valued. You will work closely with the CFO and have significant responsibility for the ongoing accounting and year-end closing process. The assignment is ideal for you if you are available immediately and want to combine operational accounting work while also contributing to development and improvement initiatives. About the Position In this role, you will have independent responsibility for key parts of the finance function and become an important partner to the CFO in daily operations. The focus is on ensuring accurate and well-functioning accounting while contributing ideas and improvement suggestions to develop working methods and processes. The operation is in a phase where it wants to create greater efficiency through development and automation of existing workflows. The role is therefore both operational and development-oriented. The assignment is conducted at 40% on-site at the office. In addition to operational work, you are expected to actively contribute to the development of the finance function by identifying improvement opportunities, streamlining existing processes, and participating in initiatives related to automation of financial workflows. Suitable Background We are looking for someone with several years of accounting experience who is accustomed to independently managing the accounting process from ongoing bookkeeping to year-end closing. You have good knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and tax handling, and experience with accounts receivable and payable and various types of payment flows. Experience with the Jeeves business system is a merit, as is knowledge of Fortnox and experience with payroll administration. If you have also worked with development, streamlining, or automation of accounting processes, we see that as a major plus. Relevant post-secondary education in accounting is desirable, but we value above all the practical experience and competence that allows you to quickly create value in the assignment. You have a structured and meticulous work style and are driven to deliver high quality even when the pace is high. At the same time, you are unpretentious, helpful, and collaborative, with a genuine interest in supporting both the CFO and the operation as a whole. We are looking for someone who is not satisfied with simply maintaining existing working methods but who also sees opportunities for improvement and enjoys coming up with new ideas and initiatives. High engagement, a proactive approach, and a willingness to contribute to the operation's continued development are qualities that will be especially appreciated in this assignment.
