About the assignment
We're seeking a driven and thorough EU Economist for the Finance Department at the EECS School at KTH. In this role, you'll have a central function in managing grant-funded projects, with a particular focus on EU-funded projects. You'll work closely with project managers and department heads, contributing to financial monitoring, analysis, and management throughout the project phases.
Your responsibilities include ongoing bookkeeping, closing of accounts, requisitions and reporting to funders, and project administration. You'll also work with project budgeting, monitoring and forecasts, as well as budget and forecast work for one or more of the school's departments. The role involves varied and operations-focused work where you'll have the opportunity to combine qualified accounting work with close collaboration with the business units.

We're looking for someone with
Relevant education in finance or at least three years of relevant work experience
Experience working with accounting and monitoring
Strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Strong knowledge of the Office package
Experience with business systems, such as Agresso, SAP or similar
Two references from similar assignments
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
Working independently on EU-funded projects
Good knowledge of EU regulations and financing systems for research projects
Similar tasks from a university or higher education institution, or another research-intensive government agency or organization
Working with budgets and forecasts
Supporting a management function in financial matters
Agresso
