Do you want a role where you can combine accounting with development, systems, and improvement work? Do you thrive in an environment where you have significant responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact? Then this might be the role for you.
Primotech Group is now recruiting an Economist for our parent company. This is a newly created role and an important part of our continued growth journey. Here you'll have the opportunity to take broad responsibility within finance while contributing to the development of processes, systems, and ways of working in a growing group.
About Primotech Group
Primotech is a privately owned industrial and technology group with approximately 15 companies and 250 employees. We acquire and develop profitable companies within technical products, components, and industry-related services. Our companies operate independently under their own brands, while a small central organization is responsible for group-wide matters, consolidation, and reporting.
At our head office, a small dedicated team works with short decision-making paths and close collaboration. We help each other, share knowledge, and drive development forward together.
About the Role
As an Economist, you'll be part of the group's central function and work closely with the Head of Finance and Controller. The role is rooted in ongoing accounting and year-end closing work for the parent company, but also includes a clear development perspective.
You'll be involved in implementing new systems, contributing to more efficient ways of working, and gradually have the opportunity to grow into more group-related matters.
This is a role for someone who appreciates variety, likes to take own initiative, and prefers to find solutions rather than wait for instructions.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will among other things:
Manage ongoing accounting in the parent company
Independently conduct monthly account closings
Handle reconciliations, accruals, and provisions
Work with VAT accounting, tax returns, and related matters
Investigate and resolve accounting questions and ensure proper handling
Manage internal balances within the group
Contribute to development and documentation of financial processes and routines
Participate in the implementation of new systems and digital solutions
Provide support and guidance to finance functions in our subsidiaries
Participate in group-related tasks and gradually develop within group accounting
Contribute to various projects related to the group's continued growth and international expansion
Who Are You?
We believe you have post-secondary education in finance or accounting and several years of experience from a finance function or an audit and accounting firm. You have a good understanding of accounting fundamentals and feel confident independently handling ongoing bookkeeping and monthly closings.
You also have:
Experience with ongoing accounting and closing work
Good understanding of VAT and tax returns
Good knowledge of business systems and Excel
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Personal Qualities
For us, personality is at least as important as experience.
We believe you are a person who:
Takes responsibility and drives your work forward independently
Is curious and wants to learn new areas, systems, and ways of working
Enjoys solving problems and digging into details until you find the answer
Has an interest in digitalization, AI, and efficiency improvements
Is unpretentious and happy to help where needed
Enjoys collaborating and building good relationships with colleagues across different parts of the business
Spots opportunities for improvement and takes initiative for change
What We Offer
At Primotech, you'll have the opportunity to step into a newly created role where you can shape both content and ways of working. You'll be part of an entrepreneurial group with strong growth, short decision-making paths, and great opportunities to make an impact.
Your workplace will be our head office at Västra Järnvägsgatan, a stone's throw from Stockholm Central. We believe in the value of meeting in person every day and therefore expect a high presence at the office, while we offer flexibility and the opportunity for some remote work.
Here you'll work close to the business, develop alongside experienced colleagues, and contribute to building the finance function of the future in a growing industrial group.
