Family Health, Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation (BUH) and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) in Region Gävleborg together form a regional operational area with approximately 350 employees. We have operations in Gävle, Bollnäs, and Hudiksvall. Our target group is children and young people aged up to 17 with moderate to severe mental health issues. The physicians at BUP and BUH form a joint unit with a shared manager. We have a joint responsibility for medical aspects of care, care development, and prioritization, which we carry out in collaboration with unit managers and care developers. The physicians work at multiple locations and maintain good collaboration. We primarily work daytime hours on weekdays, with on-call duty during weekends during daytime hours. We have just over 16 specialist positions and currently eight specialist training (ST) positions.
