Region Gävleborg has three hospitals. Hudiksvall and Gävle are our two emergency hospitals, while Bollnäs has an acute medical mission for southern Hälsingland. Together, we ensure safe and accessible care for the entire region. Bollnäs Hospital serves a catchment area of 65,000 residents. Placements in surgery/orthopedics and psychiatric inpatient care are based in Gävle, while all other duties are performed in the Bollnäs area. This gives you a solid medical foundation while providing the opportunity to work at hospitals of different sizes and with different missions, giving you a comprehensive view of our region. JOB DUTIES As an AT physician with us, you will have excellent opportunities to transform your theoretical knowledge into practical skills. You have good self-awareness and sound judgment. You are someone who sees what needs to be done and takes responsibility for driving work forward while having the ability to adapt when circumstances change. We also appreciate someone who can communicate messages clearly and engagingly in a way tailored to the recipient. To perform AT with us, you must have • a Swedish medical degree or a decision and authorization from the National Board of Health and Welfare to perform AT • good knowledge of the Swedish language at least at C1 level. It is meritorious if you have experience with • work in Region Gävleborg • work as a junior physician and/or physician assistant • other clinical work in healthcare • research beyond the scientific work included in medical education • a leadership role • work as an amanuensis or equivalent. It is also meritorious if you grew up in Bollnäs or have other connections to the town. Beyond this, we appreciate if you have an interest in longer-term cooperation and a willingness to contribute to developing the operation. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start dates: Two AT starts: February 15, 2027 through August 27, 2028 and May 10, 2027 through November 26, 2028.
