Our Operations The Authorization Operations division has nearly 400 employees and consists of several units, including the Unit for Clinical Trials and Licenses. We are 46 colleagues divided into three groups whose main task is to make decisions on authorizations for clinical drug trials and license applications for medicines not approved in Sweden. The License Group consists of 11 colleagues and we are now recruiting a new colleague for one year. Your Tasks The work consists of both routine tasks with registration of manual cases, mail handling, and more complex tasks such as processing and making decisions on license applications. We provide highly specialized surgical care with a focus on transplant surgery, liver/pancreas, and esophageal/gastric surgery. Akademiska Laboratory is responsible for medical diagnostics, consultation, research, development, treatment, and education. Our customers are primarily in Uppsala County and our Central Swedish region. In total, we have approximately 500 employees with operations at Akademiska Hospital and Lasarett in Enköping, as well as our blood donation trailer and mobile blood bank. The Transfusion Medicine Department is responsible for ensuring the blood supply in the Uppsala region and distributing the right blood to the right patient. Through blood collection at Akademiska Hospital and via our mobile blood bank and blood donation trailer at multiple collection sites in the region and neighboring regions, we maintain the blood supply. Transfusion medicine also handles the production of blood components and patient treatments using apheresis techniques. We are also Sweden's reference blood center and ensure that transfers between our donor registries nationally function as intended. Your Assignment In transfusion medicine, you are responsible for our integrations between our main data system ProSang and our various instruments. You also oversee integrations from ProSang to other data systems. This occurs in collaboration with the hospital's IT department and object specialists in the department. As an engineer, you are also responsible for parts of our instruments. This includes verifying and validating in consultation with the process manager and medical director. You also maintain contact with companies, IT, operations, and Medical Technology to ensure everything functions as it should. You will serve as technical coordinator with our suppliers regarding technical matters relevant to your area of responsibility. This includes troubleshooting when needed. Your assignment also includes generating statistics from our programs. You will participate in procurements, purchasing, and planning of new instruments for the operations. Together with the responsible physician and process manager, you ensure that necessary documentation is established in our documentation system Centuri before new instruments and methods are deployed. You also ensure that information and training on new working methods are communicated to relevant staff members. Since we are an accredited operation, quality and safety are of utmost importance.
