Department of Finance and Governance Region Uppsala's Management Office is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. Our Operations Decision Support is a unit within the Finance Department. The unit is responsible for developing and maintaining Region Uppsala's data warehouse in SQL Server and the reporting and analysis tool SAS. Decision Support has an important mission to support Region Uppsala's operations with data and decision-making materials to enable follow-up and operational development. The materials the unit produces are also used for research and to report to authorities and other external recipients. We are looking for a BI developer who can strengthen our work in analysis and decision support. The role involves working at the intersection of operations and technology, where you are responsible for translating the organization's needs into sustainable data solutions in our data warehouse. We see a particular need to strengthen expertise in ETL development and data modeling, and we are therefore looking for a person who can work through the entire BI chain – from requirements and source data analysis to data warehouse development and who is experienced in having dialogue with stakeholders at different levels of maturity. We are looking for a BI developer who can strengthen our work in analysis and decision support. The role involves working at the intersection of operations and technology, where you are responsible for translating the organization's needs into sustainable data solutions in our data warehouse. Responsibilities In this role, you will, among other things: • Engage in dialogue with the organization to identify and analyze data and follow-up needs • Transform business requirements into a practical data warehouse solution • Perform analysis of source data systems and conduct data modeling • Participate in building the data flow from operations to output • Develop reports and visualizations as needed Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: • Several years of experience working in Business Intelligence and data warehouse • Experience with operations-focused work and requirement dialogue related to data and analysis • Experience with ETL development • Experience working with SSIS • Strong knowledge of system development and data warehouse management • Strong SQL skills • Experience working in a customer/client organization • Experience managing implemented solutions You should have worked in complex organizations and datasets for at least 5 years during the last 5 years. It is an advantage if you also have experience with: • Previous work in a regional or public sector organization with management organizations • Experience with the SAS Visual Analytics visualization tool • Background in healthcare or close collaboration with organizations providing healthcare data. Your Competencies We are looking for someone who is analytical, structured, and self-directed. You have a good ability to collaborate with both operational and technical roles and can clearly translate business needs into technical solutions.
