The General Psychiatric Clinic Falun & Säter has a regional mandate within adult psychiatry with the primary task of caring for and treating patients in acute psychiatric conditions. The clinic's operations are located in both Säter and Falun. In Säter, there is the region's only psychiatric emergency department as well as Departments 90 and 95. In Falun, there are a dependency center, a general psychiatric department, a clinic for eating disorders, and an ECT clinic. Department 90 in Säter has 10 care beds and is the region's only psychiatric intensive care unit with high staffing around the clock. Patients with serious psychiatric symptoms are cared for here, where there is a risk that the patient may harm themselves or others. About the Operation We are seeking a nurse for rotation within psychiatric inpatient care for adults. You are expected to be flexible, curious, and ready to adapt to new assignments with short notice, and to thrive in this environment. The positions involve rotation between two locations: Falun and Säter. As a pool nurse within Regional Adult Psychiatry, you will receive a salary supplement of 4000kr. Regional Adult Psychiatry Falun and Säter has a regional mandate within adult psychiatry, responsible for psychiatric acute care, inpatient care, harmful use and addiction care. Within the clinic, patients, relatives, and staff are in focus. We strive to create person-centered care of high quality together. We work based on evidence and proven experience, as well as with regular training. Our care units within Regional Adult Psychiatry Falun Säter: Dept 60, Falun with 14 beds - a general psychiatric ward where patients are treated for various psychiatric conditions close to somatic care and for ECT treatment. Dept 65, Falun with 14 beds - specialized in addiction care where treatment is mainly focused on abstinence treatment of risky withdrawal. The ward has its own emergency reception connected to the care ward. Psychiatric Emergency Reception Säter where you meet and assess patients' psychiatric conditions via telephone and directly at the reception. Dept 90, Säter with 10 beds treats patients with severe psychiatric symptoms requiring intensive care and monitoring. Dept 95, Säter with 14 beds is a general psychiatric ward where patients with various psychiatric diagnoses in a calmer phase, such as psychoses, personality disorders, mood disorders, neuropsychiatric syndromes are treated. Responsibilities On the wards, you work in care teams around the patient consisting of nurses, a registered nurse, and a physician. Access is available to social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists through the clinic's treatment team. Good collaboration with municipal social services, primary care, and psychiatric outpatient care is a success factor in the work. For you working within the regional adult psychiatry clinic, we offer customized introduction including: A structured, enhanced, and extended workplace introduction Lectures and training days Mentor/supervision The work includes day, evening, and weekend shifts, every other or every third weekend by agreement. You will receive a permanent employment as a nurse at one of our care units as your home ward and will receive an assignment as a pool nurse for rotation between the clinic's units. The clinic's staffing assistant staffs vacancies with the pool nurse who arranges their own transportation to the unit to be staffed. If the pool nurse is not scheduled for a shift, they work the day at their home ward. Qualifications Requirements: Registered nurse with valid license Meritorious: Further education in Psychiatry and/or addiction care and/or basic training in psychotherapy Experience from previous work within psychiatry or addiction care As a person you have: a genuine interest in caring for patients with mental health issues, addiction, and comorbidities the ability to handle even pressured situations professionally and with good conduct good communication skills, are positive, and contribute to good collaboration and a good work environment You enjoy working in an environment with varying pace where you can use your flexibility and problem-solving skills.
