The person we are looking for will be placed at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology (ICM) and affiliated with NBIS and SciLifeLab. ICM is one of the most international, broad, and leading biomolecular institutions in Europe. The department's research areas are divided into seven research programs covering everything from cell biology to biophysics of individual molecules. NBIS is a national collaboration whose purpose is to provide support for bioinformatics and infrastructure to researchers in the life sciences. NBIS also constitutes the Swedish node in the European infrastructure ELIXIR for biological data. NBIS has approximately 90 experts throughout the country in various fields such as DNA, RNA, and protein analysis, systems biology, genetic analysis, mass spectrometry proteomics, and metabolomics. NBIS also works within systems development and data management. The systems developers are a group of approximately 10 experts who develop and implement tools for large-scale analyses and large-scale data handling, as well as web applications for research groups and other actors in society.
