SallyQ is now seeking a research engineer for a consulting assignment with one of our customers in Uppsala. Here you'll have the opportunity to work hands-on with chromatography and purification while developing your expertise alongside experienced colleagues. This is a perfect opportunity if you have a relevant master's degree and perhaps a year or two of work experience. About the Role As a research engineer, you will primarily work on the development and optimization of chromatographic purification methods. The role is laboratory-based and involves planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments as well as analyzing and documenting results. You'll become part of a research and development environment where you work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues from different disciplines. The role offers you excellent opportunities to broaden your knowledge and gradually take on greater responsibility. Example Tasks: Plan, conduct, and evaluate chromatographic purification experiments Develop and optimize methods for purification of biological molecules Work with chromatography systems and associated software Use analytical methods to evaluate experiments and results Troubleshoot and solve challenges related to purification processes Participate in method development and improvement initiatives Document and analyze experimental data Compile and present results Collaborate with colleagues across different parts of the organization Your Profile We're looking for someone with a master's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field, and practical experience with laboratory work. You don't need many years of work experience. This consulting assignment is particularly well-suited for you if you're early in your career with a year or two of relevant experience and are now looking to continue developing yourself within life science and R&D. We'd especially like to see that you have: Experience with chromatographic separation and purification methods Practical experience with chromatography systems and associated software Knowledge of analytical methods such as HPLC, ELISA, and/or qPCR Experience with purification of biological molecules Good practices in experimental documentation and data management Very strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written About SallyQ We are a company founded with the vision of building a competence company where customer value and people are at the center.
