Job Description As a unit manager you are responsible for employees, work environment, operations, and finances within your area of responsibility. Since our employees largely work in other operations, you need to be able to create presence, belonging, and good leadership even when you and your employees don't work side by side every day. A central part of the assignment is to build and develop relationships with the operations that use REKO's employees and together with them understand both today's and tomorrow's staffing and competency needs. You follow up on how our assignments function and help find sustainable solutions based on the operations' needs. The role thus has certain similarities to a consultant manager role, with the difference that both our employees and our customers are within Region Östergötland. Work Group REKO consists of several different employee groups and assignments. Within the operation there are, among others, nurses, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, and staffing assistants. We are also responsible for health and medical care's hourly-paid nursing assistants, childcare workers, and caregivers. In addition, REKO has assignments related to bed coordinators at Linköping University Hospital and Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping, as well as responsibility for coordinated recruitment of summer temps across several professions. The exact employee groups and operational assignments that will be included in the position are not yet finalized. The greatest need for reinforcement is currently in the central part of the region, based in Linköping. The final distribution of responsibility will be shaped based on operational needs and the combined competency of the management team. About You We seek someone with leadership experience and relevant higher education or other education combined with experience that the employer deems equivalent. Management experience is a merit as is experience from health and medical care. In your leadership you are confident and have good self-insight, with the ability to adapt your leadership style according to situation, individual, and operational needs. Your assignment is to provide both care and support – in daily life and in contact with the outside world – always with the individual's needs at the center. With pedagogical support and care, you help the person develop and use their abilities to become as independent as possible. Together you create a daily life where participation, self-determination and quality of life are most important. The work tasks are varied and can range from personal hygiene, care and support in daily routines, to practical tasks such as cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and medication management. You may also provide support in contact with authorities and healthcare. We work based on IBIC (Individual Needs at Center), which means that each measure is planned together with the individual. As a contact person, you are responsible for establishing and following up implementation plans, as well as documenting and recording in the Treserva system. In this role, you also have close dialogue with family members and other partners. Your Workplace Are you our new colleague? You are an important piece of the puzzle in our work to create good days for the individual, the operations and the staff group. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to be part of our work team. The operations coordinate planning with other units, which means that working at multiple workplaces may become relevant. For this position, a minimum service degree of 75% applies, but given the right to full-time work as applied in Linköping Municipality, you have the option to choose a higher service degree up to full-time. Your working hours will be arranged for day, evening and weekend shifts. The group home is located in Ljungsbro and you can easily get there by bus on weekdays and weekends. The target group at Härnegatans group home is mixed, with mainly adults with disabilities who have varying but significant care needs. Some challenging behavior may occur among the users. The group home has five apartments and common areas where people can spend time if they want company from their neighbors. In our shared kitchen we prepare all meals together. We support our users in all areas of life, both inside and outside the group home. Most users living in the group home have very limited verbal communication and express themselves through few words, gestures, sounds and body language, but also through alternative and augmentative communication such as visual supports. In addition to this, we also work with assistive technology such as lifts. The work team is an experienced group with long experience in the field. We care about looking after new staff who join us. We provide support, introduction and have a designated mentor to make it as good as possible. We gratefully welcome new thoughts and ideas about the operations and see it as an advantage if you are creative. About You We are looking for someone who has studied a care and nursing program, child and leisure program or equivalent education and has experience working in support, care and nursing. It is a merit if you have previous experience working with people with intellectual or physical disabilities, as well as people with challenging behavior, assistive technology, transfer techniques or documentation according to IBIC. If you have previous experience working with low-arousal approaches, we see that as very positive. Since several of our residents have limitations in verbal communication, it is an advantage if you have knowledge of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), such as visual supports or sign language support. We would also like to see that you have worked based on IBIC (Individual Needs at Center). The work involves many contacts with both users and family members as well as ongoing documentation. Therefore, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Good computer skills are a requirement, and it is a merit if you have experience with documentation systems and working with implementation plans. You are a self-motivated person who takes responsibility for your tasks and drives the work forward. At the same time, you enjoy collaboration and have an ease with listening, communicating clearly and adapting your approach to the situation and person.
