Welcome to us! Your Work Tasks As a teacher in the substitute teacher role, you step in where the need is greatest for the day. You work across the entire school and are responsible for carrying out instruction based on the planning prepared by the regular teacher. The work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. Your assignments include: Conduct and lead lessons in various grade levels and subjects based on existing lesson plans. Create a safe, structured, and academically supportive classroom environment where each student has the conditions to succeed. Quickly build relationships with students and meet them based on their individual needs. Work closely with colleagues in both subject areas and work teams to ensure good quality instruction. This position is fixed-term until 2027-06-17. The position works well to combine with studies – for example, if you're studying to become a teacher or educator – and want to gather valuable practical experience from school alongside your studies. Your Workplace Ljungsbro skola is a grades 7-9 school located in central Ljungsbro, just over 10 km from Linköping's city center. Our vision is to learn more through challenges, curiosity, and good relationships. The school has over 300 students in grades 7-9 with approximately 20 students in each class. The school's approximately 50 employees constantly work to develop instruction to maximize student learning. The student's best interests are always in focus, and the operations are characterized by engagement, creativity, dynamism, and joy. Here there is a well-developed student support team and we are a mobile phone-free school. We also have a resource school for students on the autism spectrum with 18 student spots in grades 7-9. You Who Apply First, we're looking for you who have teacher certification with the right to teach grades 7-9 in any of the subjects Science, Mathematics, Swedish, or Modern Languages. Second, we're looking for you with completed teacher education for grades 7-9. Alternatively, you're near the end of your training to become a grades 7-9 teacher. It's a merit if you have the right to teach multiple subjects in grades 7-9, based on the school's needs. It is a requirement that you have experience working in curriculum-based school through internship or as an employee. In your role as a grades 7-9 teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well familiar with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because according to the curriculum (Lgr22) you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your instruction to the students and let them participate in shaping the instruction. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it.
