Do you want to work as a manager in an operation where leadership, competency management, customer relations, and development come together? Resurs och kompetens (REKO) is Region Östergötland's shared internal staffing organization. We support health and medical care operations with expertise for both short-term and long-term staffing needs across all parts of the region. Our employees are employed by REKO but work on assignment in health and medical care operations. Our work is based on core values of holistic perspective, collaboration, flexibility, competency, and commitment. These guide us in how we work together and how we contribute to strengthening care. We are now strengthening our management team and seeking an additional unit manager who wants to help develop REKO together with us. What We Offer At REKO you get a varied managerial assignment with many points of contact and the opportunity to influence the continued development of the operation. The role involves significant personal responsibility while you also have close support and collaboration with other managers. You will become part of a management team of four managers where we work closely together and share responsibility for REKO as a whole. Our way of working is characterized by openness, helpfulness, and making use of different experiences and perspectives. There is room to challenge reasoning and change views along the way. We enjoy working together and value a daily life with commitment, consideration, joy in work, and lots of laughter. Job Description As a unit manager you are responsible for employees, work environment, operations, and finances within your area of responsibility. Since our employees largely work in other operations, you need to be able to create presence, belonging, and good leadership even when you and your employees don't work side by side every day. A central part of the assignment is to build and develop relationships with the operations that use REKO's employees and together with them understand both today's and tomorrow's staffing and competency needs. You follow up on how our assignments function and help find sustainable solutions based on the operations' needs. The role thus has certain similarities to a consultant manager role, with the difference that both our employees and our customers are within Region Östergötland. Work Group REKO consists of several different employee groups and assignments. Within the operation there are, among others, nurses, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, and staffing assistants. We are also responsible for health and medical care's hourly-paid nursing assistants, childcare workers, and caregivers. In addition, REKO has assignments related to bed coordinators at Linköping University Hospital and Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping, as well as responsibility for coordinated recruitment of summer temps across several professions. The exact employee groups and operational assignments that will be included in the position are not yet finalized. The greatest need for reinforcement is currently in the central part of the region, based in Linköping. The final distribution of responsibility will be shaped based on operational needs and the combined competency of the management team. REKO operates throughout the region and travel between our different parts occurs. About You We seek someone with leadership experience and relevant higher education or other education combined with experience that the employer deems equivalent. Management experience is a merit as is experience from health and medical care. In your leadership you are confident and have good self-insight, with the ability to adapt your leadership style according to situation, individual, and operational needs. Clarity and creating good conditions for employees to take responsibility and develop is a natural part of your leadership. The role requires a strong ability to build trusting relationships and collaborate with employees, customers, and managers at different levels. You listen to different perspectives, broaden your view beyond your own area of responsibility, and can weigh different needs based on what creates the best effect for the whole. We also seek someone who takes initiative, creates structure, and drives issues and processes forward even when the path to the goal is not entirely clear. A clear interest in competency management, staffing, and recruitment as well as a willingness to develop both people and operations is important for thriving and succeeding in the role. Employment and Application Interviews are planned to be conducted on October 14, 15, and 16. Before employment in patient-facing work within Region Östergötland, you will need to complete a health declaration. We warmly welcome your application! If you need help registering in the system, contact Customer Service Support and Service, 010-103 60 00, during office hours. To staffing, placement, and recruitment companies and to you who are salespeople: We politely but firmly decline direct contact from staffing, placement, and recruitment companies and other external parties and sellers of additional job advertisements. Region Östergötland has procurement agreements.
