Job Description
Do you want to lead work that ensures advanced technical systems function throughout their entire lifecycle? Sigma Technology Engineering is continuing to expand. We're building a business area focused on qualified roles in engineering, systems, and lifecycle management – and we're now looking for an ILS Manager who wants to work on our customer projects. This is an opportunity for you to combine strategic responsibility, technical expertise, and leadership in assignments where you'll play a central role in developing sustainable, accessible, and efficient systems over time.
About the Role
As ILS Manager, you'll lead and develop Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) work in complex engineering projects. You'll ensure that products and systems can be operated, maintained, and further developed efficiently and cost-effectively throughout their entire lifecycle. The role involves end-to-end responsibility where you work both strategically and operationally – from early phases through delivery and into operations.
Your areas of responsibility include:
Lead and coordinate ILS work in technically advanced projects
Develop and implement lifecycle management (LCM) strategies
Ensure requirements related to operations, maintenance, availability, and support
Drive analyses such as LSA, LCC, reliability, and maintenance optimization
Plan and develop maintenance and spare parts strategies
Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, production, procurement, service)
Serve as advisor to customers on lifecycle and systems support matters
Contribute to the development of ILS methods and practices
You'll be a central player in projects with significant influence over both solutions and results.
Basic Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is confident in their expertise and has experience working within ILS or lifecycle management and wants to take the next step in their career. You have good systems understanding and are accustomed to working in complex, technology-intensive environments.
We're looking for:
- An engineering degree in logistics, mechanical engineering, production, or systems engineering. Alternatively, equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
- A Master's or Civil Engineering degree is a plus.
- Previous experience working within ILS
- Experience leading work or coordinating teams in projects
- Good knowledge of LSA, LCM, maintenance analysis, or similar areas
- Experience from technology-intensive operations (e.g., defense or industry)
- Ability to work both strategically and operationally
We work closely with our customers and a B driver's license is required. Since we often work within the defense industry or other critical societal operations, positions are typically classified and may require certain citizenship requirements.
Personal Skills, Qualities, and Experience
To thrive in this role, we believe you're someone who enjoys taking responsibility, creating structure, and driving work forward in complex environments. We believe you are:
Structured and analytical – you create order in complex contexts
Holistically oriented – you see the connections between technology, cost, and value
A clear leader – you bring people along and build collaborations
Communicative – you convey messages clearly to different audiences
Results-driven – you move work forward and deliver
You have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Merits
Experience from the defense industry or other security-critical operations
Previous experience as an ILS manager
Background in systems engineering or requirements management
Experience with reliability, RAMS, or configuration management
Experience developing ILS working methods
We consider it a merit if you have completed military service or have other relevant experience from the Swedish Armed Forces. Equivalent experience in security, preparedness, or similar areas is also viewed as a plus.
What We Offer
You'll become part of Sigma Technology Engineering where we combine technical expertise with a strong team spirit. As a consultant with us, you'll be part of an engaged team that values community, knowledge sharing, and having fun together.
We put you as a consultant at the center. Your wellbeing, your development, and your career goals are our priority.
We believe in long-term relationships and want you to thrive and grow with us for a long time. As a consultant with us, you'll always have an engaged leader and colleagues, secure employment, a flexible workplace, and the opportunity for good work-life balance.
We look forward to your application!
