The role as student assistant requires a high degree of flexibility, as you work where the need is greatest for the day, which means you support different students and student groups. As a student assistant, you are responsible for contributing to the realization of the curriculum's goals and intentions in the activity. Together with the work team, you plan, carry out, and document the pedagogical work at school and at the after-school program. Your duties as a student assistant include: Provide targeted and adapted support to individual students and to smaller student groups throughout the school day. Work preventively with low-arousal interactions, clarifying pedagogy, and structure to create an orderly and secure learning environment. Collaborate closely with teachers and other colleagues regarding student support. Be a flexible support in the school's various environments and quickly adjust based on where needs arise during the day. Your workplace Ljungsbro School is a grades 7-9 school located in central Ljungsbro, just over 10 km from Linköping's center. Our vision is that through challenges, curiosity, and good relationships, we want to learn more. The school has over 300 students in grades 7-9 with approximately 20 students in each class. The school's approximately 50 employees continually work to develop instruction to maximize student learning. Student wellbeing is always the focus, and the activity is characterized by engagement, creativity, dynamism, and joy. There is a well-developed student health team here, and we are a mobile phone-free school. We also have a resource school for students within the autism spectrum where we have 18 student places in grades 7-9. As an employee with us, you get helpful colleagues who gladly go the extra mile to enjoy working together—for example, we had a shared breakfast together on Lucia Day. We enable our strong collaboration through clear structures and forums where colleagues meet. Among other things, we have a joint conference once a month where the entire school meets and addresses common issues, as well as collaboration time in everyone's calendars once a week. We have a trusting environment where you are encouraged to try new things and experiment in your professional role, whether you have experience or are new to your role. About you It is a requirement that you have a qualification as a childcare worker/student assistant from adult education or have completed the Children and Leisure Program at secondary school.
