Psychiatric Night Shift Nurse - Units 91/96
We are seeking nurses for night shift work in our 24-hour care units on departments 91 and 96. Our nights are characterized by close collaboration, stable staffing, and an active focus on safety. Night work offers great variety—you will meet patients with different backgrounds and diagnoses and handle both acute situations and long-term care processes. Duties As a nurse with us, you have a central and varied role encompassing both psychiatric and somatic care, where your medical knowledge is used in symptom assessment, risk evaluation, and medication management. As time and opportunity allow, you participate in care work, while the nurse's areas of responsibility always have the highest priority. The entire psychiatry department is located under one roof, which creates close collaboration and good opportunities for support even during night shifts. Each night, 13 care assistants and 4 nurses work within our 24-hour care, providing stable staffing and a strong collegial environment. The operation has a clear focus on safety and continuous improvement. Regular night meetings contribute to shared understanding and experience exchange. To enable professional development for all, training sessions are sometimes scheduled in the evening so that night staff can participate. What is the best part about working nights? "You get a completely different closeness to the patients at night. The pace becomes calmer and there's more time to truly see each individual. The team at night also becomes very tight—we help each other and trust one another in a way that's hard to describe." - Eva About the workplace Our psychiatric 24-hour care is an operation that is constantly moving forward. We actively work on improvement based on our operational needs. We feel we make a real difference for our patients and have the privilege of getting to know them. The work climate is open and accepting; we can be ourselves and we help each other. We have good cohesion within our staff groups, both within our own team and across the 24-hour care operation as a whole. Department 91 Department 91 is a general psychiatric acute care unit with a dependency treatment focus, concentrating on abstinence treatment for patients with comorbidity in psychiatry and addiction. The department is a regional resource for patients with complex issues, such as active substance abuse combined with psychiatric and/or somatic illness. Work is conducted in close collaboration with the Addiction Center Västmanland and regional outpatient clinics to ensure coherent and patient-safe care. Department 96 Department 96 is an acute psychiatric psychosis unit with 14 care beds. It primarily cares for patients with psychotic disorders in acute phases, but also treats patients with addiction issues and neuropsychiatric diagnoses. Care aims to stabilize the patient's condition for continued treatment in psychiatric outpatient services. Patients often require somatic interventions, and work is based on a holistic perspective with the patient in focus. Care is provided according to both HSL and LPT.
