Job Responsibilities
The flexible assignment means that you work flexibly across the entire clinic and rotate between our three operating units to maintain broad expertise in each unit. You have a base schedule, but as a staffing resource you are placed where the need is greatest each day. With us, you get the opportunity to broaden your expertise while being an important part of the team around the patient. You will work closely together with nursing assistants, operating room nurses, and physicians.
As an anesthesia nurse, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring anesthesia as well as the patient's vital functions before, during, and after surgery. In the flexible assignment, you are part of the hospital's emergency response system, which may involve work at external units when needed and ambulance transports for patients requiring a different level of care.

Work Hours
We offer work in our around-the-clock operation with a time-based compensation model of 37 hours per week. Region Västmanland also provides increased compensation for unsocial hours to nurses, midwives, radiographers, and biomedical analysts.

About the Workplace
The Operating Clinic is responsible for all surgical care in Västmanland. Parts of the day surgery operations are conducted at the hospital in Köping. More extensive surgery, both acute and elective, takes place in Västerås. The surgical operations include surgery, urology, gynecology, robotic surgery, orthopedics, vascular surgery, and ear-nose-throat surgery. There are a total of 23 operating rooms at the clinic, of which four are in Köping and 18 are in Västerås.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse and has specialist nurse training with a focus on anesthesia care. A requirement for the position is that you have several years of experience as an anesthesia nurse in acute care. If you have also worked with the medical record systems Cosmic or Orbit, we see that as a merit. Since our work is often governed by documents in Swedish, you need to have good knowledge of the language, both spoken and written.
You are someone who is confident and stable as a person. We see that you plan and structure your work, and that you can quickly prioritize and adapt when circumstances change and the situation requires it. You have a good ability to collaborate with others by listening and communicating in a clear and constructive manner.

Permanent employment: Full-time
Work hours: Schedule with rotation including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
Work location: Västerås
We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. The flexible assignment includes an appointment for two years with an accompanying salary supplement. Start date by agreement.
