Your Tasks You cover for the regular teacher's absence and conduct the teaching. This means you have responsibility for an entire class and teach in one or several subjects. Sometimes you can follow the regular teacher's planning of lesson content, and in other cases you are responsible for planning the teaching and content yourself. To assist you, you have other teachers who work at the school. In the role of substitute teacher, tasks such as recess duty may also occur both indoors and outdoors. As a substitute, you have an important role in creating a positive and developing learning environment for all students! Your Qualifications You need to have an education that the employer considers relevant as well as a passing grade in Swedish/Swedish as a second language at upper secondary level, combined with previous experience in teaching/lecturing. It is meritorious if you have previous experience working as a teacher in schools. It is also meritorious if you have completed or begun studies to become a primary school teacher or subject teacher. Work as a Substitute - Västerås (https://vasteras.se/naringsliv-och-arbete/jobb-och-karriar/jobba-som-vikarie.html) Practical Information The Substitute Staffing Service's mission is to recruit and provide hourly employees from 1 day up to 2 months and 29 days for Västerås City's school operations. Through us, you have the opportunity to be booked for assignments of varying lengths; you are booked for a minimum of three hours. This depends on the operations' needs and how much availability you indicate. You get the opportunity to work with many different operations and are matched against assignments based on your area of expertise. We supply all of Västerås City's school operations with substitutes—including the municipality's rural areas—so you need to be prepared to travel to workplaces outside the city. In our work tool timepool, you register the days you can work and are matched against assignments based on your area of expertise. Work hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday-Friday, between 6:30 AM–6:30 PM, and you need to be able to work within these times. You need to be able to get to work on short notice, as bookings for work can occur the same day. It is therefore an advantage if you are based in Västerås. Other Information We ask that you attach your upper secondary school grades or a certificate from other education proving that you meet the requirements when you submit your application. In order for us to assess your experience correctly, you need to include in your CV the year and month for each employment as well as a brief description of your duties.
