Job Responsibilities
As Operations Director for Health and Rehabilitation, you are responsible for operations, staff, and finances. In your role as director, you lead and develop the operations based on the goals, processes, and financial frameworks provided together with your management group comprising unit managers, controller, and HR consultant. Within these frameworks, you as a director have the freedom and responsibility to work towards developing an efficient, high-quality, and attractive operation with a sustainable and stimulating work environment for staff. Clear, communicative, and present leadership is important for creating unity and implementation capacity in the organization.
As a director, you represent Region Västmanland and your operation both internally and externally, which means you work according to and communicate the perspectives and positions held by the employer. You work in close collaboration with other directors and staff. Health and Rehabilitation is organized under the Department of Psychiatry, Medicine, and Primary Care, and as Operations Director, you are also part of the department's management group.
About the Workplace
Health and Rehabilitation is an operation that serves both outpatient care and primary care as well as specialist care levels. The operation is led by the Operations Director and 5 unit managers.
We are approximately 80 engaged staff members distributed across 6 units consisting of primary care dietitians, occupational therapists, and child and family health psychologists. Our operation also includes an early intervention clinic, Health Center Västmanland, and a speech therapy clinic. We are located at different sites in Västerås and throughout the region.
Our operation is at the forefront regarding digital care meetings both individually and in groups. We have received workplace environment awards on 2 occasions.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an academic healthcare education or alternatively other education/experience that we consider equivalent. Education in developmental leadership or other leadership training as well as education and knowledge in work environment are merits. We see that you need to have several years of management experience with responsibility for finances, personnel, and operations. It is an advantage if you have experience leading development and improvement initiatives. Additional merits include knowledge in leadership, systematic work environment management, basic economics and budgeting, and basic labor law. Our work is governed by documents that are often in Swedish, and you therefore need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Within Region Västmanland, we want to see leadership that is developmental, present, and coaching in nature, supporting and utilizing employees' knowledge and competence, enabling employees' responsibility-taking, learning, and participation.
