This is your opportunity to have a leading role in a crucial initiative for Gothenburg's future. The Västlänken railway tunnel will have three stations in Gothenburg, with Centralen Station being one of them. Once Västlänken is in place, it is not possible to "revert" to the same traffic solution as originally, the conditions for the site are new and the spaces need to be used differently to accommodate all requirements and objectives. Centralen Station is part of the work to create a vibrant and efficient public transport hub where travel by regional and commuter trains, trams, buses, cars, and bicycles interact in a functional way. As project manager for public space development at Centralen, Nordstan, and Kvarnberget, among others (the CNK project), you contribute to creating a vibrant meeting place and transfer point that appeals to all modes of transport and transfers between different transportation methods such as bike to train, bus to train, train to walking. A central part of the role is implementing the handover process. The project manager is responsible for ensuring that completed sub-areas are handed over to the managing organization in a structured manner and according to established procedures. Beyond traditional project management competence, the collaboration model also requires the ability to think innovatively and solve problems. In a complex urban development project, situations often arise where there is no given or obvious solution. The project manager therefore needs to be able to analyze the situation and see alternative paths forward to work with the contractor to find solutions that are good for the project as a whole. Your responsibilities include: Have a guiding role in the design and handover phase Handle referrals in connection with building permits, utility location, utility rights, and similar matters Handle deviations in the design phase Coordinate the project's activities regarding artistic embellishment Handle matters regarding tenant adaptations, outdoor seating areas, etc. Monitor the budget allocated for the design phase Maintain oversight of the review of design documentation according to the review process Qualifications We are looking for you who have: University degree in civil engineering, infrastructure, or similar At least 10 years of experience in civil engineering or infrastructure in a leading role as project manager or manager At least four years of experience leading complex and innovative projects Experience with urban development projects requiring implementation and quality delivery is a merit Previous experience from municipal administration or municipal companies is a merit You are a confident and clear leader who thrives in complex collaborative environments with many stakeholders.
