Job Responsibilities We're taking a fresh approach at Morängatan – do you want to be part of our revival and contribute to a positive and developing everyday life for our residents? We're looking for two support assistants who want to work in an operation where we jointly develop work methods, approaches, and practices to provide the best possible support for the people who live with us. Morängatan is a supported housing facility for adults with neuropsychiatric diagnoses and physical disabilities. Ten residents live here, each with individual needs, interests, and circumstances. By working based on implementation plans, you ensure that each resident's needs are in focus and that support is provided in a respectful and professional manner. In your work, you motivate residents in their daily lives. This can involve encouraging social activities, supporting contacts outside the home, or creating conditions for enriching leisure time based on the resident's interests. You also provide support with personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, and cooking. You collaborate with guardians, social workers, healthcare professionals, and family members, and you're part of a team where respect, method development, and a low-arousal approach are a natural part of everyday work. The role also includes social documentation, medication management, and insulin administration according to delegation. The position can sometimes involve working alone, which makes it important that you feel secure with the target group and confident in your professional approach. The residence provides support around the clock, and work hours are scheduled for day, evening, and every other weekend. We use Time Care Planning for activity-adapted schedules. With us, you get varied and meaningful work where you make a real difference – every day. Qualifications We're looking for someone with a diploma from the Healthcare and Care Program, support assistant training, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires you to have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you don't meet the qualification requirements, you may be offered a language test through test provider Educateit. You have documented experience working within LSS (Swedish Disability Services Act) and social documentation, experience working with people who have autism, intellectual and physical disabilities, and experience working with challenging behavior. It's meritorious to have knowledge and experience of LAB (low-arousal approach) and AAC (alternative and augmentative communication). You remain calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You work well with others by listening and showing respect. You're clear in your professional role and act professionally in situations where others question you or make unreasonable demands. You're open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You're receptive to what others say and show respect, consideration, and care in your approach. We warmly welcome your application! Other Information Selection and interviews will begin during the application period. In this recruitment, you will answer a number of questions where you can describe your knowledge in the field instead of submitting a cover letter.
