About the job We are now seeking a new colleague for the overnight shift at BmSS Skalskärsgatan in southwestern Gothenburg. Skalskärsgatan 3, located near the sea, is a residential facility with special services (bmss) specializing in autism. We are looking for someone with experience working with the autism target group. We prefer candidates who are experienced in working with individuals displaying challenging behavior. The role of support assistant involves supporting and being present for our residents in their daily lives. All staff have the responsibility to create conditions for providing support, assistance, and structure in everyday activities. Your role also includes developing implementation plans, establishing and updating work descriptions, and contributing to maintaining good quality in operations. The work includes delegated nursing tasks and social documentation. You will also collaborate with legal guardians, family members, and licensed health and social care personnel. The goal is to provide each resident with a predictable daily life where dignity is self-evident. We work with clear routines to create structure and security for our residents. Working hours are scheduled for the overnight shift, and you will be one of two support assistants working the awake night shift. About you We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care Program, Support Assistant training, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization within the disability field comprising at least 200 yh-credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination of these equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education must include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have passing grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered a language test through Educateit. Multiple years of experience working with the autism target group is a requirement for this position. Similarly, the ability to independently work with implementation plans and social documentation according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus). If you are trained as a support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or treatment pedagogue, this is advantageous. We also prefer that you have experience independently and together with others working with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), LABC (Low-Arousal Behavior Management), and ISL (Independent Self-Directed Living). Previous experience with contact person responsibilities is also a merit. You are attentive and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You are friendly and helpful toward others, even in stressful situations. You are calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations.
