About the Position Kortedala Library is a place where people meet, read, and create, and we work actively to attract more visitors. We are six colleagues in a close-knit team, three of whom, including you, work specifically with children and young people. Our visitors are of all ages, speak different languages, and come with different needs and expectations. It is precisely this diversity that makes the work meaningful. In this role, you will work both independently and together with colleagues to develop and drive library activities. Promoting reading and programming are central elements, and you take special responsibility for strengthening children's and young people's love of reading and language development in Swedish and other languages. You plan and develop initiatives for these audiences, both in the physical library and through outreach activities where children and young people gather. The work is relationship-based and participant-led. You continue established collaborations with local actors and simultaneously help build new networks. You work in public environments and focus on making the library's content accessible and fostering a love of reading and inspiration. Book displays and media management are part of daily work. This is a fixed-term position at 100%. Day shifts, evening shifts, and some weekend work will occur. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has A degree in library and information science from a higher education institution Strong ability to communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing It is advantageous if you have Experience working as a children's librarian Experience collaborating with external actors, associations, or organizations Experience with outreach library work Good knowledge of languages in addition to Swedish and English Who Thrives in This Role?
