BUP Day Care Unit is part of BUP Section Intensive Outpatient Care, which provides treatment for children and young people with complex psychiatric symptoms who require intensive interventions. The units within the section work closely together where we collectively prioritize and manage our shared resources. The section operates based on Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT), which in short means flexibly and quickly prioritizing what the patient themselves experience as the greatest obstacle, regardless of whether the solution falls within BUP's responsibility or requires services from other parts of society. The Day Care Unit offers stabilizing, mobilizing, and rehabilitative interventions and complements regular child psychiatric treatment with our specific expertise. BUP Day Care Unit receives children aged 0-17 who need child psychiatric rehabilitation – in order to return to their previous everyday life or to new contexts in which to develop. Children come to us via referral primarily from BUP Intensive Outpatient Care and BUP Inpatient Care. Here we tailor rehabilitation programs and offer a daily activity schedule in group and individual treatment interventions. We have a creative team consisting of nurses, therapists, care assistants/nursing assistants, specialist psychologists, art therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, administrators, assistant unit managers, and unit managers. We collaborate with the patient's fixed care team within BUP and also work closely with Panorama School, a hospital school in the same premises run by the municipality. Job Description You are part of the patient's multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and are responsible for occupational therapy assessment and treatment interventions for patients and their relatives. You perform assessments of activity capacity and provide consultative support to staff in implementing rehabilitation planning. Interventions are provided both individually and in groups. You will also be the primary contact person for some patients and be responsible for care planning, goal setting, and collaboration. LPT monitoring, which is a major part of the work as a medical secretary in 24-hour care, involves keeping track of the dates when patients' LPT care expires and ensuring that applications for extensions are submitted to the administrative court in a timely manner.
