About the Organization
Forensic Psychiatry Care Stockholm provides forensic psychiatric care in Stockholm County and has approximately 550 employees divided into two sections. The organization is located at Helix, Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge, and Löwenströms Hospital in Upplands Väsby. Our mission includes receiving individuals who, under the influence of serious mental illness, have committed crimes and have been remanded to care by court according to the Forensic Psychiatry Care Act. We also have county-wide responsibility for patients from the Prison and Probation Service who are in need of forensic psychiatric care. Administrative support functions are located in Huddinge, near Flemingsberg Centre.

About the Position
As a care development specialist, you will have a central role in the organization's development work. You work closely with leadership and operations and contribute to developing and monitoring working methods, processes, and quality within forensic psychiatric care. A central part of the assignment is to lead and coordinate development initiatives as well as support implementation and follow-up of quality improvement measures in the organization.
The position is placed within operations support (staff) and you work closely with the operations manager, section leaders, and other support functions.
Examples of Work Tasks:
Initiate, drive, and follow up development and quality work
Develop, coordinate, and implement evidence-based working methods
Contribute to skills development through training initiatives, knowledge dissemination, and participation in internal forums and working groups
Participate in work related to patient safety, quality, and improvement efforts
Assist in developing and monitoring the organization's medication and supply processes
Follow up, analyze, and present data related to the organization's goals
Develop procedures, action plans, and risk analyses within care development work
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and relevant networks
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse or has other relevant healthcare qualifications and additionally has:
Professional experience from psychiatry, substance abuse care, or forensic psychiatry
Experience with quality and development work
Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is meritorious if you have:
Specialist nurse certification
Experience with change management or implementation work
Experience with risk and incident analyses and work with statistical reports
Personal Qualities
To succeed in this role, you need to be communicative and have a talent for building trusting collaborations. You are proactive, well-organized, and enjoy driving development work from idea to implementation. You work methodically and independently and have the ability to switch between strategic questions and practical implementation.

Other Information
Work within forensic psychiatry requires you to be able to absorb and follow applicable regulations and work in a security-conscious environment. Background checks and drug tests are conducted prior to employment.
We believe in present-minded employee and leadership practices and work primarily takes place at the office. Opportunity for remote work one day per week when operations permit.
For this position, we conduct continuous selection. Interviews will be held during weeks 36-38.
Employment Form
Permanent employment. Full-time, 39.5 hours/week. Start date by agreement. Probationary employment may be applied.
The position is filled on the condition that it does not need to be used for internal reallocation, according to applicable regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County healthcare:
- background checks are applied before employment decision according to SLSO's comprehensive instructions for background checks at recruitment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to applicable directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional licensing.
