The Control Division has a broad mandate to ensure that only approved goods cross the border. About the Control Division and the Leadership Center The Control Division is responsible for all customs inspections at the border and other inspections within the country. The division consists of border protection activities as well as parts of the clearance operations that conduct clearance and document inspections for import and export of goods. The division is divided into four geographical units: South Region, West Region, East Region, and North Region. Swedish Customs' leadership center is organizationally part of Swedish Customs' Control Division but supports the entire event-driven operational activities. The leadership center has been in operational use for approximately three years. Much of the work involves developing and anchoring the leadership center's operations, both internally and externally. Main Responsibilities The overall responsibility of the agency's managers is to achieve good results in relation to Swedish Customs' mission and conduct good leadership. As group manager for Swedish Customs' leadership center, you have the following responsibilities: Personnel responsibility for operations managers. Direct, lead, follow up on, and develop the group's operations in line with the leadership center's vision and operational plan. Responsibility for continuing to drive change initiatives by building up and developing the leadership center in relation to the unit and Swedish Customs as a whole. Responsibility for your group's goals and results as well as personnel responsibility. Prioritize what should be done in the short and long term and adapt operations to changed conditions and needs. Ensure competency supply within the group in both the short and long term and work for a good work environment. Travel within the country may occur. Are You the One We're Looking For? We are looking for someone who has: At least 2 years of experience as a manager/leader Completed and approved upper secondary education Swedish citizenship Swedish driver's license, class B for passenger cars Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing Experience in driving change initiatives It is a merit if you have: Experience from a position in a state agency and an understanding of how an agency functions in management, governance, organization, and follow-up. Experience with flexible working hours Managerial experience that has involved leading and developing an operation and achieving good results Leadership training Experience working within Swedish Customs' operations Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is experienced, stable, and confident in your leadership.
