In this newly established role, you will have a central position in identifying, analyzing, and monitoring risks related to our asset and liability management – while also having the opportunity to shape the role in close collaboration with colleagues within the agency.
The Swedish Pensions Agency is the insurance provider for one of Sweden's largest insurance operations in traditional insurance. We manage capital of 95 billion kronor for 400,000 pensioners. We are also responsible for the temporary management of pension rights funds that average 75 billion kronor.
About the job
As a risk analyst, you will work closely with asset managers, actuaries, and others involved in premium pension management. Together, you will develop the agency's risk management work. You collaborate and maintain ongoing dialogue with the agency's risk function.
The role involves conducting analyses, follow-ups, and risk assessments, with particular focus on financial holdings related to the premium pension system and the agency's asset and liability management model. You work to translate the agency's framework and guidelines into practical approaches and drive risk assessments, control activities, and reporting. The role requires a broad risk perspective and includes work with several types of risks within asset management, such as market risks, liquidity risks, counterparty risks, sustainability risks, and operational risks. The work requires both the ability to independently drive operational matters and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues to develop and strengthen the Swedish Pensions Agency's risk management work. Other tasks such as reporting and compilation of information within asset management may also occur.
Your responsibilities
Ensure that we apply the agency's risk management framework appropriately within asset management.
Further develop the design of risk analyses concerning investment decisions in collaboration with the risk function.
Further develop existing processes and methods for risk management so that monitoring and evaluation of risk levels, asset classes, and individual investments can be carried out.
Contribute to the first line's monitoring of identified risks, measures, and any deviations.
Contribute to disseminating knowledge and increasing understanding of risk management within premium pension management.
Other tasks related to asset management may also occur.
The role is part of the Asset Management and Actuarial Unit, which is organizationally placed within the Analysis Department. Collaboration across organizational boundaries is a central element of the role. You report to the unit manager.

The role also requires that you are communicative and can convey complex information in a clear and factual manner.
We are looking for someone who has:
Academic education, preferably in financial economics or equivalent, which the employer deems relevant for the position.
At least 5 years of experience working with asset management risk at insurance companies, fund management companies, banks, or government agencies. The experience should include work with several types of risks.
Experience interpreting, applying, and implementing relevant regulations.
Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and also good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English.
It is meritorious if you have:
Experience working with asset and liability management in insurance or pension companies.
Experience from Swedish government operations, for example from AP funds or other agencies working with asset management.
Experience with business development.
