About Department 31 Psychiatric Department 31 is an old-age psychiatric acute care unit within 24-hour care that currently has 16 care beds. In the department, we work with psychiatric nursing, support, and treatment for elderly patients with various psychiatric diagnoses. Often, the elderly patient also has somatic illness and/or cognitive difficulties. Care includes periodic basic nursing for multiple patients. Patients are cared for voluntarily or under coercion with us. The staff team in the department has worked together for a long time, and we place great value on a positive attitude in our work! In old-age psychiatry, we place great focus on patient interaction. We want to create a calm, safe, and secure environment for our patient group, and as a nurse, you play an important role. Both as a support through the model "a conversation a day" where during the day we capture the patient's needs and thoughts. But also as a bridge between different care professionals. On Department 31, you work closely with an experienced nursing assistant team, a chief physician, physiotherapist, social worker, and occupational therapist. As a nurse, you act as a bridge between the different care professions. All to help our patients in the best way possible! The workplace is located at Nacka Hospital next to Ektorps center with good connections and close to the scenic Nyckelviken and Långsjön. We have close collaboration with our eight sister departments in the same building. Your work as a nurse As a nurse in the department, you have a leadership function regarding psychiatric and somatic nursing. You also have contact with care neighbors and next of kin. You work with tasks such as medication administration and documentation in the TakeCare journal system.
