We're Looking for a Financial Controller Who Wants to Develop and Make an Impact
Do you want to do more than just follow up and reconcile? As a Financial Controller at Nybergs Bil, you'll have a central role in how we understand, develop, and manage our business. You'll own the monthly closing, drive analysis and decision support, and have a strong mandate to develop our processes, systems, and automation. This is a new role that spans all of Nybergs Bil and all our business areas. You'll report to the CFO and become part of a finance team of five people in Jönköping. The automotive industry is changing rapidly through electrification, new business models, digitalization, and AI, and Nybergs is at the forefront. We're located in Jönköping, Nässjö, and Habo, represent eight brands, and operate the entire value chain, from car sales and workshops to rental and subscription services. Here you'll help build the finance function of the future, not just manage it. Your mission: • Monthly closing: own the closing from start to finish for all business areas. • Analysis and decision support: find what drives profitability and turn numbers into actionable insights. • Budget and forecast: drive the monitoring of results, forecasts, and key metrics. • Reports and dashboards: develop decision-making tools that are actually used by decision makers. • Automation and AI: develop our workflows and systems, both in the finance department and in operations, always with customer experience in focus. • Credit process: take responsibility for credit assessment and follow-up. You make your own credit decisions and are a key player in making good deals with our customers and sales team. We're looking for: Someone who is curious, driven, and analytical and likes to understand what's behind the numbers. Someone who takes initiative, keeps their own processes organized, and drives things independently to completion. We believe that you: • Are comfortable with accounting and can independently handle a monthly closing from start to finish. • Are skilled in Excel and experienced working with large datasets. • Understand how business systems, data, and processes connect. • See opportunities for automation and dare to try new things. • Are business-driven and see finance as a tool for better business. • Are unpretentious, quick to learn, and enjoy learning by doing. • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with change and new challenges. An economics degree is a plus, but your drive, initiative, and what you've accomplished previously matter more. If you've worked with controlling, analysis, or audit, that's a good foundation, as is experience with BI or similar tools. What we offer: • Cutting-edge tools. We're advanced in BI and invest heavily in digital customer journeys, so you won't start from scratch but build on something that already works. • Breadth and variety. In an exciting industry, you'll get insight into all our business areas, each with different workflows and profitability logic. • A role you can shape yourself, with significant mandate and direct impact on how we manage the business. • Short decision-making paths in a family-owned company that dares to innovate and stays at the forefront. Our culture is built on ETTA: engagement, trust, together, and responsibility. For us, that means we help each other and our customers across departmental boundaries and take responsibility all the way. To thrive with us, you need to be willing to work with the same mindset. Being part of Nybergs Bil means being part of a great community. We have a strong corporate culture and a clear vision: to deliver a world-class customer experience. We are authorized dealers for Volvo, Polestar, Lynk & Co, Mazda, FIAT, MAXUS, and XPENG with sales of new cars, commercial vehicles, and used cars, and the complete value chain with service workshops, damage repair, Hertz car rental, Rulla car pool, tire workshop, shop, and car care. We sell approximately 3,500 cars per year and generate revenues of over 1 billion SEK. We have about 140 employees and are located in Jönköping, Nässjö, and Habo. This position may be filled before the final application deadline, so submit your application today! Questions about the position, contact: Viktor Trojefors, CFO [email protected] 036-30 46 02
