The Occupational Therapist Role The occupational therapist holds a meaningful and valued role in the neurological team. You will meet individuals with neurological diseases and conditions. The work tasks consist partly of conducting occupational therapy assessments and interventions within the framework of acute neurology in inpatient care. Here, the occupational therapist works with assessment of personal care, cognition, hand function, and interventions related to your assessment. This includes ADL training, prescription of assistive devices, hand training, and handover reporting to the next level of care. You will also meet patients at our outpatient clinic where you contribute with investigation of, among other things, cognitive functions, hand function, and activity capacity. You provide support regarding adaptations in daily life, which may include counseling, education, and assistive device testing. Education of other staff and student supervision are part of the role. The position we offer is a full-time temporary contract for 6 months as a replacement for an employee on leave, with possible extension. Desired start date November 1, 2026 or by agreement. Weekend duty is included every 10th Saturday and occasionally during major holidays.
