Your New Job We are now seeking a teacher for grades 4-6 in Science, Technology, and English at Södergårdsskolan in Huskvarna. As a substitute with us, you will be part of a school that works with language-developing methods, with particular focus on language comprehension as well as vocabulary and concepts. You will contribute to teaching where collaboration between teachers and activities is an important part of providing students with the best possible conditions for learning and equitable education. We place great emphasis on accessible teaching and creating learning environments that meet students' different needs, prerequisites, and backgrounds. As a substitute, you are expected to contribute to this by creating safety, structure, and good relationships with students. You will become part of a collegial environment where teaching is continuously developed based on identified areas of development, always with student learning in focus. Right now, we are implementing IBIS (Inclusive Behavior Support in School) at our school. A preventive and structured approach aimed at creating a safe study environment, clear expectations, and a positive school climate. IBIS is based on the whole school working together with common rules, positive reinforcement, and early interventions, so that students receive the right support at the right time and can succeed both socially and academically. You will be responsible for the pedagogical content of teaching based on the curriculum and other governing documents, which means you should be able to independently plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching. The school buildings were constructed in 1911 and 1921, carefully renovated and subsequently heritage-listed. You are a qualified teacher, or alternatively you are nearing the end of your teacher training or waiting to receive your teaching credential. You have a good understanding of primary school's mission and work confidently based on the school's governing documents. If you have previous experience with teaching and working with students, we see that as a major asset. To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic IT skills.
