The 44th Mine Clearance Diving Division operates under the Fourth Naval Task Force and is located in a beautiful setting in Skredsvik, Uddevalla. For the right person, we offer internal training as a diving technician and a work opportunity where your expertise develops over time. 44th Mine Clearance Diving Division Creating freedom of movement for naval forces with focus on coastal and archipelago areas as well as around marine infrastructure is the division's main task. The division has a strong operational focus and here personnel from all of the Swedish Armed Forces work, not just the navy, whereby you become part of a competent and helpful team with broad responsibilities. The division consists of MEODS (Navy EOD School) which trains the Navy's mine clearance divers and an EOD company. As a diving technician at the 44th Mine Clearance Diving Division, you are placed at MEODS but also support the division's company as needed. You work in a team with other diving technicians but also have considerable contact with other personnel. Main Responsibilities The position involves responsibility for diving technical work, preventive and corrective maintenance on the division's diving systems, recompression chamber systems, and breathing gas distribution systems. You are responsible for training on these systems in both handling and technical understanding. You also participate in the development of new equipment for the mine clearance diving system. As a diving technician, you serve as a reference point/expert in your area of competence to adjacent and superior units. You are also responsible for maintaining contacts within diving technology with industry. The focus of the work tasks is diving technical responsibility, but you may also support the 44th Mine Clearance Diving Division within the framework of operational activities.
