Postdoctoral Researcher in Soundscape Engineering and Acoustic Metamaterials
Position Description The Department of Vehicle Engineering and Technical Acoustics at KTH is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the VR-funded research project SMILE (Soundscape engineering with Metamaterial Innovation and LEarning). SMILE develops methods for acoustic design that combine soundscape goals, acoustic metamaterials, physical modeling, inverse design, machine learning, and perceptual evaluation. The postdoctoral researcher will develop models and design methods for acoustic metamaterials/metasurfaces, apply simulation and data-driven optimization, contribute to listening tests and VR-based soundscape evaluation, build or test prototypes, publish results, and contribute to coordination and mentoring. Teaching may be included, but no more than 20 percent of working time. Qualifications Required Qualifications Completed doctoral degree or foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. This qualification requirement must be met by the time the employment decision is made. Scientific expertise in soundscape, psychoacoustics, environmental acoustics, technical acoustics, acoustic design, or a related field. Documented experience with soundscape-related research methods, such as prediction, design, or evaluation of soundscapes; psychoacoustic or perceptual modeling; auralization; listening tests; VR-based or other human subject experiments; or analysis of urban, indoor, or vehicle-related sound environments. Very strong ability to write scientific texts and communicate in English. English is required because the project is international and results will be disseminated internationally. Good collaboration skills, independence, responsibility, and awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with particular emphasis on gender equality. Desirable Qualifications At the deadline, no more than three years since the doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree was completed. A strong publication record in an area relevant to the position. Audit Assistant
Delta Revision is growing, do you want to grow with us? We are an audit firm with clients throughout the Mälardalen region. We have a constant flow of new and exciting assignments. We have offices in Stockholm and Västerås, so you can live anywhere in Mälardalen. The Stockholm office is located at Fridhemsplan. We are looking for you to work as an audit assistant with ambitions to become an authorized auditor. You are welcome to be a recent graduate from university/college studies with a focus on economics and/or have worked as an assistant at an audit firm. Since autumn 2020, we have an RI (Swedish Supervisory Board of Public Accountants) approved training plan. We can offer a varied client portfolio where you can gain knowledge of different business structures within the areas of accounting, audit, and tax. You will mainly work with audits for small and medium-sized companies. The work takes place both at the client's premises and at one of our offices. The goal is to work independently with your own client responsibility in due course. As a person, you are responsible, have good collaboration skills, and are used to working towards deadlines. Delta Revision currently has thirteen employees, of which four are authorized auditors, and we work almost exclusively with auditing of owner-managed companies, housing cooperatives, and foundations.
