We are seeking a Controller for our finance department, reporting directly to our Finance Manager. The finance department currently consists of six people responsible for the company's financial accounting, reporting, and follow-up. We are now looking for a new colleague as one of our employees is moving on to new challenges. With us, you will have a central and business-close role where you work closely with managers and operations. You will contribute with analyses, follow-up, and decision-making materials that help the organization make well-founded decisions and achieve its goals. About Us Botkyrkabyggen is one of Sweden's largest non-profit housing companies with approximately 10,800 rental apartments and 160 employees. We are a stable and long-term property owner with strong community engagement that collaborates with tenants, the municipality, and other local actors. We view properties not only as buildings—but as an important part of building a stronger and more inclusive Botkyrka, where people want to live, work, and develop. Our mission is, in a business-like manner, to manage and develop safe, sustainable, and attractive apartments and premises in Botkyrka. Together, we create homes where everyone wants to live and we manage with care. With us, everyone should feel welcome and respected, regardless of background. You will be an important support to area managers and management and help operations understand economic relationships, follow up on results, and identify deviations. The role involves many contact points and suits you if you enjoy combining analysis with collaboration and translating figures into concrete insights. You will also work on monitoring maintenance efforts and smaller investments, participate in work with tertial and annual financial statements, and contribute to developing our processes and methods within financial management. Your Areas of Responsibility • In collaboration with others in the finance department, lead and be responsible for budget and forecast processes for ongoing property management. • Conduct economic follow-up of income statements, maintenance, assignments, and smaller projects, and support operations with analyses and decision-making materials. • Provide qualified support to area managers and operational managers on economic matters. • Be responsible for internal operational reports and develop and maintain the company's reporting system (ExOpen). • Participate in the process of preparing monthly, tertial, and annual financial statements and reporting to the owner. • Prepare economic key figures, benchmark reports (Sveriges Allmännytta), and report to government agencies such as SCB. • Support property management and real estate development with economic questions and serve as backup within the finance department when needed. Who Are You? As a person, you are initiative-taking, driven, and unpretentious. You thrive in a role with many contact points and find it easy to create trustful collaborations while daring to ask questions and drive economic matters forward. You are pedagogical in your communication style and have the ability to make economic matters understandable to people without an economic background. At the same time, you are analytical, business-minded, and comfortable in dialogue with managers and other decision-makers. We see that you have: • University degree in economics or equivalent competence. • Several years of experience as a Controller or qualified accountant. • Good knowledge of financial management, budget work, and accounting. • Experience working with reporting systems, preferably ExOpen or similar. • Very good analytical ability and a structured work approach. • Experience from the real estate industry is a merit.
