Workplace Description There is now an expanded initiative in the camera surveillance area as part of crime prevention and investigation, and ultimately to increase safety in society. In this camera offensive initiative, our camera technical systems groups in the Police IT department take on an important role. The group has overall responsibility for the national camera platform regarding operations/maintenance and further development. Camera technical capabilities are organized within the Operational Business Systems unit at the Police IT. The unit has overall responsibility for delivering IT support to police operational activities. Read more about our benefits and terms here: https://polisen.se/jobb-och-utbildning/polisen-som-arbetsplats/det-har-erbjuder-vi/ Job Description In the role as Team Lead/Assignment Manager, you will have the opportunity to take a leadership role to coordinate and manage the work with IT development for camera technical capabilities, including the national camera platform. You will be part of a cross-functional team consisting of other assignment managers and technical specialists where you together have overall responsibility, which includes daily operations, management/support, and further development of capabilities. Work tasks are varied and may include: Leading varied assignments where you take overall responsibility for delivery in both short and long-term projects within the camera area Acting as close support and an extension of the group manager/product owner in daily work Facilitating workshops and preparing decision-making materials Participating in agile working methods and actively contributing to developing the team's methods and ways of working Being the hub in a role with many contact points – from IT architects and technical specialists to police operations and external suppliers The group works closely with several different stakeholders, internally with other competency groups within the IT department, or other camera groups for example within the National Operations Unit or within police regions. Externally, collaboration occurs mainly with suppliers. Travel, both domestic and international, may occur in the position. A major focus is ensuring the team has the best possible conditions to deliver, where you drive ongoing improvement efforts. Qualifications This is an opportunity for you who have: Relevant post-secondary education in IT, preferably with a technical focus. Alternatively, you have equivalent acquired experience that the Police Authority can assess as equivalent At least 3–5 years of relevant work experience (recently), preferably from a complex IT environment, for example in a role as IT team leader, IT assignment manager/IT project manager, product owner or similar Good professional experience leading, structuring and coordinating IT assignments related to IT product development, for example related to technical platform, application, software or similar Good technical understanding/competence, preferably around the IT infrastructure area, for example regarding networks/firewalls, servers, backup/storage Good professional experience working according to agile working methods, ITIL or similar methodology in IT development/IT operations You need to master Swedish very well in speech and writing, and master English well in speech and writing. The position requires Swedish citizenship. Meritorious The following are meritorious: Experience in technical work around camera surveillance, for example related to video management systems (VMS), transmission or similar parts relevant to the position Experience working with operations and development of IT capabilities from organizations strongly governed by regulations and legislation Previous experience working in a more pronounced technical role, for example as a technology specialist, application technician or system administrator Good competence in change management related to IT development Personal Qualities We're looking for you as a confident leader who thrives at getting teams to deliver and work effectively together.
