The Swedish Prison and Probation Service, SiS, is a government agency responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial issues and adults with substance abuse disorders. SiS Youth Home Hässleholm is a secure institution with four treatment units, two intake and needs assessment (MBB) units, and one open TFCO unit. At Karlsvik in Höör, we have an open discharge preparation unit. This unit is part of our operations where treatment activities consist primarily of skills training aimed at preparing youth for a functioning life after their time at SiS, both practically and socially. We primarily receive school-age boys but also girls with ongoing criminal involvement and in some cases substance abuse issues.
