Our operations run 24/7, and as night staff you are responsible for the young people's wellbeing and safety, with a primary focus on promoting their sleep routines and being there for them when needed. Night is often the most difficult time of day, and sleep problems are very common among our youth, which is why a trustworthy adult who can offer support through conversation or other means is a very important piece of the puzzle. The work can vary greatly in intensity from very calm nights to nights that demand a lot from you as a treatment assistant. You always work awake nights on shifts scheduled between 21:00–08:00 on weekdays and 20:45–08:15 on weekends. You work according to a rotating schedule in a team with several other treatment assistants and educators. The current schedule is under review and there may be some changes to the times in the future. As night staff, your employment is 78.01%.
