Experienced Consultant with Technical Depth in Test & Quality Assurance

Who are we? Test Scouts is a consulting firm with roots in Gothenburg – and since last year also in Stockholm. We don't aim to be the biggest, but we want to be the best. We are a tight group of experienced and junior specialists who share a genuine interest in testing and quality. For us, testing isn't a step in the process, it's the whole point. We want to be specialists, not generalists who happen to test. We like to team up with tool vendors and stay updated on the market – but we are tool-agnostic. Our job is to recommend the right solution for the customer, not sell a specific stack. The Stockholm office is young and you get to help build it from the ground up – but with a stable and well-established company in Gothenburg backing you. You won't be alone, but you have significant scope to make an impact. Who are you? You have at least four to five years of experience in testing and quality with a clear technical specialty and a strong theoretical foundation. You work with modern software development and understand concepts like pipelines, CI/CD, and the principles behind DevOps and Agile development. You see testing as something much bigger than checking off a requirements specification. You ask "why," work equally comfortably with business and system requirements, and aren't afraid to dig into code, databases, or logs when needed. You've probably gained experience far beyond what was in your job description. You are curious, inquisitive, and creative with the ability to see both details and the big picture. You are driven and self-directed, communicative, and good at building relationships at all levels. You want to get better – and you want the industry to get better. You enjoy, or are curious about, the consultant role and what it entails, and understand both what it gives and demands of you. You want to work focused on testing and quality – and you think the idea of a company that focuses solely on that is a plus. You probably have the following on your CV: What matters most to us right now is that you either have practical, multi-year, hands-on experience with test automation and code, or a very strong niche profile in, for example, standard system implementation – that's where we see the greatest need in the market. You've probably worked practically with tools and frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, and Robot Framework. You have at least basic knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript. You understand concepts like CI/CD and DevOps and have worked in either Jira or Azure DevOps. Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes are familiar terms. API testing is something you understand and have done, for example with Postman and Bruno, or equivalent tools. If you've worked with standard systems, that's a big plus – it's an area we want to grow in and learn more about. It could involve Lumera, SAP, ServiceNow, IFS, Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or similar ERP and CRM platforms. We see a growing need for testers who really understand these systems in depth, not just test around them. We also see significant need within banking, finance, insurance, and the public sector – experience from those areas is an extra plus. What do you get from us? You get to help build something from the ground up in Stockholm, alongside colleagues who take testing seriously. We continuously invest in competency development – through a personal mentoring program, a broad library and knowledge base, courses, conferences, and internal competency forums. You shape your path, but we do a lot together. Working with customers, you operate close to their business and are expected to coach and lead quality efforts, not just execute them. You help customers build up, further develop, and implement working methods and processes that actually work – on their terms, with your expertise. We work closely with colleagues in Gothenburg and meet as often as we can to exchange learnings and maintain our DNA. You have your base with us but contribute your testing expertise both internally and in assignments with customers. Does this sound like the right match? Get in touch! We are interviewing continuously and the position may close early if we reach our goals.

Estimator - Earthworks, Civil Works, Concrete

We are recruiting an Estimator and Contract Engineer for our client with placement in Norrtälje or Hallstavik. Would you like to have a central role in an earthworks and civil works company where you get to be involved early in projects, influence which jobs we estimate on, and contribute all the way from inquiry to completed project? Our client is now seeking an estimator/bid manager with experience in earthworks, civil works, and concrete. The role suits you if you enjoy figures, structure, and business – but also want to be close to production and understand how projects are actually executed. The company performs earthworks and civil works in Roslagen and the Stockholm area. Their projects vary in both size and character and include, among other things, earthworks, water and sanitation, foundations, finish grading, development work, concrete structures, and work for companies, the public sector, and professional clients. About the Role As an estimator, you will have an important function in the company's business flow. You work closely with site managers, project managers, supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors. You are responsible for monitoring incoming inquiries, assessing which projects are interesting, driving the estimation process, and submitting competitive bids. When projects are won, you are also involved in the handover to production and provide support during project execution. The role also includes developing simple schedules as well as resource and equipment planning linked to the estimate. Therefore, you need to have a practical understanding of how the work should be carried out, what resources are required, and what risks need to be managed already at the bid stage. This is not an isolated desk role. We want you to understand production, visit projects, follow up on estimates, and help us continually improve at choosing the right jobs, calculating correctly, and executing projects with good profitability. Your Main Responsibilities The role includes, among other things: • Daily review of incoming inquiries via info email and other channels. • Monitor inquiries on platforms such as e-Avrop, Projektagenten, and similar procurement platforms. • Compile interesting upcoming projects and possible business opportunities. • Prepare and schedule estimation meetings with the site manager. • Review scope requirements, risks, opportunities, resources, and bid strategy. • Take responsibility for assigned estimates from processing inquiry documents to completed bid submission. • Prepare estimates for earthworks, civil works, and concrete work, including more complex concrete structures. • Send bid requests to suppliers and subcontractors. • Develop simple schedules linked to the estimate. • Develop resource and equipment planning for bids and estimates. • Serve as contact person for questions during the bid phase. • Compile estimate, risks, assumptions, and bid documentation for review. • Conduct internal handover to the project manager or responsible supervisor upon project award. • Perform project follow-up on larger projects. • Provide project support to the project manager, supervisors, and others in production. • Visit projects regularly to follow up on estimates, execution, and lessons learned. • Assist with forecasting work together with the project manager and site manager. Who Are We Looking For? We are seeking someone with experience from the earthworks and civil works industry who understands how contract projects are built up economically, technically, and practically. You may currently work as an estimator, supervisor, project manager, contract engineer, project leader, or self-employed within earthworks, civil works, or concrete. The most important thing is that you have industry knowledge, can read inquiry documents, and have the ability to assess risks, quantities, resources, equipment needs, and costs. You need to be able to work systematically through the entire estimation process – from the first review of the inquiry documentation to the completed bid, internal review, and handover to production. As a person, you are structured, thorough, and business-minded. You enjoy creating order, driving processes forward, and taking responsibility for your tasks. You are used to collaborating with others, but can also work independently and make decisions when needed. You also need to be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, as the role involves contact with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues internally. We Believe You Have • Experience in earthworks and civil works. • Experience with estimates, bids, production, or project follow-up. • Ability to read and understand inquiry documents, quantity lists, drawings, and technical descriptions. • Good understanding of costs, resources, risks, and contract economics. • Knowledge and/or experience preparing estimates for more complex concrete structures. • Ability to develop simple schedules linked to bids and estimates. • Ability to develop resource and equipment planning linked to estimates. • Experience working in Excel. • Basic knowledge of contract law, such as AB 04 and ABT 06. • Good Swedish in speech and writing. • Class B driver's license. Meritorious Experience It is meritorious if you have: • Experience working in Bidcon. • Experience working in Next. • Experience with public procurement. • Experience in both estimation and production within earthworks, civil works, and concrete. • Experience with estimates and bids for projects with higher requirements for security, confidentiality, or special client requirements. • Experience from security-classified projects or projects involving security protection, SUA agreements, or security screening. • Experience from projects for, for example, Fortifikationsverket, Försvarsmakten, or other operations with high security awareness requirements. • Understanding of how work on security-sensitive projects affects bids, planning, resource selection, subcontractors, document management, and execution. • Knowledge of regulations related to security protection, such as the security protection act and defense-related regulations. Because we want to develop our ability to submit bids on projects with high security and client requirements, particularly within the public sector and total defense-related infrastructure, we consider it particularly meritorious if you have experience from projects involving security protection, SUA agreements, security screening, or special confidentiality handling. Experience from projects for, for example, Fortifikationsverket, Försvarsmakten, or similar clients is highly meritorious.

About the Role As a residential support worker, you work based on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical perspective. Together with other staff members, you work toward making each day meaningful and enriching. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate residents to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Work hours are scheduled for daytime, evening shifts, weekends, and overnight shifts. You will have a group leader or group manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the service. This could also be a future career opportunity for you. Your Experience and Knowledge You have secondary education in care and support or equivalent education. You have good Swedish language skills in both speaking and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is a merit if you have experience working with this client group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow. You have a positive outlook, strong commitment to people, and take responsibility. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, and always have our clients' best interests at heart in everything you do. At Nytida, we are in constant development. With us, you can grow as a person while making a difference for others. Our culture is characterized by our values – respect, responsibility, simplicity, and knowledge.
