Game Developer - Game Verification Specialist
Boxplay Studios is a relatively young iGaming studio. We're now looking for someone who can make sure everything we ship holds up — from server code to certification documents — while gradually growing into a role with increasing responsibility for planning and structure. About the role As Game Verification Specialist, you'll be a key link between development, math, and the processes that actually get our games out the door — technically correct, on time, and in line with how we like to work as a studio. The role is technical at its core, but carries a clear component of structure, planning, and ownership that grows over time. Your responsibilities will include: Owning all documentation related to certification, including PAR Sheets and Simulation Summaries. PAR Sheets can be partially generated using AI tools (Claude), but every line needs to be double-checked against the actual server code — accuracy is non-negotiable. Driving the simulation work: kicking off the necessary simulations, collecting and documenting results, and flagging anything that looks off. After an onboarding period, joining — and eventually leading — Supervised Build meetings together with the developers. Writing Game Text and Game Sheets, and maintaining our Game List on an ongoing basis. This too can be partly automated, but the output always needs a sharp eye and fine-tuning. Contributing to — and over time taking greater ownership of — project planning and roadmap work. Scheduling and running debrief meetings, and coordinating with the team during the transition from pre-prod to prod. Organizing and structuring game ideas and prototypes to support longer-term roadmap planning. Over time, taking partial ownership of compliance as we expand our distribution into regulated markets. Occasionally handling simpler big-win verifications and ad-hoc analyses in the back end/Metabase. Who we think will thrive in this role This is a role that combines technical rigor with structural thinking — which makes it an unusually good fit for someone with a background in both software development and business or project management, for example through an MBA. You'll need to be comfortable going down to the code level to verify numbers against server logic, but also able to zoom out, see the bigger picture of a roadmap, and structure processes that don't exist yet. We think you: Have a technical foundation (development, data analysis, math, or similar) and are comfortable reading and reasoning about code. Have experience with — or a natural instinct for — project structure, planning, and driving processes forward, ideally backed by a business-oriented education such as an MBA. Are detail-oriented almost to a fault, but never at the expense of seeing the bigger picture. Enjoy switching between deep technical double-checking and more strategic planning work — often on the same day. Are experienced with, or curious about, tools like Claude/AI to speed up documentation, but never blindly trust the output without verifying it against the source. Have (or can quickly pick up) an understanding of game math, volatility, and how slots actually work under the hood. Why Boxplay Studios We're a small team (just over ten people) where everyone has real influence on what we build and how. You won't be a cog in some large certification machine — you'll be the person who owns the process, shapes it, and gradually takes on more responsibility as the studio grows into new, regulated markets. Stockholm - Full-time To apply, send your CV and a short introduction of yourself to [email protected]
