Psychosis Care Stockholm is a newly established operation within the Stockholm County health care region. Here we gather care for patients over 18 years of age with psychotic illness in one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psychosis Care Stockholm, we conduct development work, education and research on psychotic illness. At Södermalm department, we are now seeking hourly-paid nursing assistants to join our psychiatric care team. About Psychiatric Department Södermalm At Psychiatric Department Södermalm, 24-hour care is provided with a primary focus on psychosis. Södermalm admits patients ranging from acute conditions to patients admitted through outpatient care or through voluntary admission. The department also accepts patients from throughout Stockholm as space permits. Here works a dedicated team where person-centered 24-hour care for patients with psychiatric issues is at the center. To ensure quality and equitable care, interventions for the patient are guided by diagnosis-specific care process maps that are adapted based on the patient's individual needs. At the department, nursing assistants, nurses, counselor, occupational therapist, medical secretary and physicians work together. The unit is centrally located in Södermalm with proximity to buses, commuter trains and subway. Parking is available for employees. Your Work as a Nursing Assistant As a nursing assistant, you have an important role in care work and collaborate with your colleagues in various multidisciplinary teams. We actively work with developing patient participation, care plans, nursing care plans and concrete nursing interventions. Together with your professional and dedicated colleagues, you become part of our goal to provide psychiatric care of the highest quality. The tasks involve daily contact with patients, conversations, activities, care and various tasks that arise in the department. Documentation is done in our TakeCare system. Our Expectations of You You have an interest in care work and psychiatry as a specialty and are curious, creative and responsible. You have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues but can also work independently and make your own decisions when required. In care work, you base your approach on the patient's and family's resources and needs. Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement. Requirements: Proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants or an employer certificate demonstrating that you held a permanent position as a nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023 in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) of the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). Those applying with an employer certificate must attach a diploma from your nursing assistant education. Experience working in 24-hour psychiatric care with a focus on psychosis is meriting.
