As dance coordinator, you are the hub of the dance wheel at Eksjö Kulturskola and the Dance Profile/Eksjö Gymnasium. RESPONSIBILITIES The primary focus is teaching children and youth dance, both during daytime with the Dance Profile and electives at the gymnasium, and evenings with Kulturskola's dance groups. Currently, we primarily offer: children's dance, mixed dance, jazz, and lyrical styles, with the possibility to teach other dance styles—there is room to adapt dance classes to your expertise. All instruction takes place in the dance studio at Kulturskolan in Eksjö. Within this role, you must independently manage lessons and lesson planning. You need to take initiative, be responsible and creative. We seek someone with broad dance expertise, as you'll work with children and youth of various ages, in different styles, and different learning environments (both evening courses and gymnasium courses). Beyond teaching, you're responsible for: - Overseeing other dance instructors. Currently, we have two dance instructors assisting with Kulturskola's dance groups. - Methodically planning and structuring term and academic year schedules. - Group administration. - Communication with students and parents. - Maintaining good collaboration with other dance instructors and dance practitioners in the municipality. - Planning, project managing, and executing the dance show Dansfesten (a traditional dance performance where all groups throughout the municipality are represented), alongside other colleagues. Regarding gymnasium instruction, the Dance Profile courses are: Dance Expression Level 1, Dance Technique Level 1, and Dance Technique Level 2. All gymnasium students also have the option to take Dance Technique Level 1 as a standalone course. A significant portion of our activities occur in afternoons and evenings; some weekend work may occur.
