Within Functional Support in Eksjö Municipality, we work to provide children, youth, and adults with disabilities support, services, and care that promote independence, participation, and quality of life. Functional Support includes group homes, service apartments, day activities, short-term stays, personal assistance, and other support services for children, youth, and adults. RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as Unit Manager for Functional Support in Eksjö Municipality, you will lead, develop, and follow up on operations to achieve set goals. Quality, service user focus, and sustainable finances are central elements that go hand in hand in your assignment. In this Unit Manager position, you are responsible for three group homes within Functional Support. You lead and develop the operation with the goal of providing high-quality services to people with disabilities. Your responsibilities include operations, personnel, work environment, budget, and ensuring that activities comply with applicable legislation and regulations. As a manager, you actively work on quality development, analysis, and monitoring of operational results, and drive improvement and change initiatives together with staff and colleagues. You will be an important part of an active and positive management team, where we drive operational matters jointly from a holistic perspective. As a new Unit Manager, you'll receive a carefully planned introduction and access to the municipality's management and leadership development program. We offer you continuous professional development and mentoring to provide a solid foundation for your management role. With support from your manager, management colleagues, administrators, economist, HR, operations developers, and other support functions, you'll have excellent conditions to succeed in your assignment. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with a university degree comprising at least 180 university credits in social work, behavioral science, or other relevant higher education as assessed by the employer. Social law must be part of the relevant education. It's advantageous if you have experience managing LSS (disability services) operations and have worked in a management role with responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and finances. As a manager, you are structured and organized. You easily build good relationships, communicate, and collaborate with others. You see the bigger picture and your leadership creates participation, development, and accountability in the organization. We appreciate if you take your own initiatives and have the ability to analyze and prioritize to make both short-term and long-term decisions. You are confident in yourself and have a solution-focused approach with a focus on quality.
